need opinions on using architectural nails on wide plank flooring

Hi, We just installed wide plank pine floors on our second floor. Because they are so wide, we are experiencing cupping on some of the end pieces. We were initially going to lay down architectural nails every two feet, but I'm having second thoughts as to how all those nails will change the look of the floor, especially as the floor is natural and tung oiled only. The nails will really pop in color contrast. Now thinking I'm thinking it would be better to nail and plug where needed? Would appreciate pictures of the architectural nails on pine... I did a Google search did not come up with any really good picture of the look.
