What do you think of this Costco kids bedroom collection?
Comments (2)I need to find something for my boys bedroom. I found the same set on the Costco website. I would like to ask the original poster (kylex) if you purchased this set and if you are happy with it. From the descrption, it looks like good quality (solid birch, kiln dried, dovetailed drawers). The price is very reasonable: $899 for the 3pc set. Comments (63)I love TJs....we don't get wine in grocery stores here so I've never had the $$ chuck...but would love to try it some time. I've been addicted at various times to various things at TJs including their meringue cookies and their chocolate nonpareils. While their cookies are very tasty, I don't find any soft and chewy type. Great selection of chocolates from around the world....can use it like wine tasting. We always shop there for crackers as their selection of whole grain and multi grain is the best. Love their edamame crackers. I also get my whole wheat english muffins there. If any of you, like I, have certain issues, try their 100% cranberry juice. I put just a splash in a tall glass of seltzer and it is amazing. So different from the usual sugary water with some cranberry in it. Lately I've been buying their grass fed beef and it is incredibly flavorful, besides not having any pink slime (bleccch). But whenever I'm baking anything that calls for chocolate, I always buy their belgian chocolate. I make a chocolate lava cake using their dark pounder plus and it is A -MAZ -ING! I recently made Awesome Brownies using their chocolate as well. Excellent! I also buy their lightly salted mixed nuts and get other nuts there for baking and eating. But in our area, TJs prices their bananas by the "each" not "lb". Once I bought one of their chicken sausages that was really good, but since then, i can't seem to buy the right one again....they have several. I've been not happy with their frozen foods but based on your recommendations, will have to try some again. I typically don't eat any frozen prepared foods as I make my own....See MoreKitchenaid, Costco BlueStar or Costco NXR 36" range?
Comments (16)KA 20k btu burners are sealed with a very wide heat pattern. Only very wide pans will capture a good percentage of the heat. Even with large pans the Bluestar will have more power actually making it to the bottom of the pan because the heat is directed right to the bottom of the pan not to the side. Plus the heat will be much more even across the bottom of the pan. KA has a history of blowing fuses during self-clean. Better as of late but still something to keep in mind. With KA you get electric oven features but possible electric oven heachaches and cost of repair with integrated circuit boards etc. I can't find the interior dimensions or the broiler rating for the KA but with the BS it will fit commercial baking sheets and you get a very powerful broiler too....See MoreLavender plant from Costco. Comments (7)Hello Madreselva! I returned the plant. Im happy to hear yours is doing well. Our winter has been pretty mild with the exception of todays snowfall. I returned the plant because I feared it wouldn't survive NJ's traditional winters. I am excited to say that I have been lucky with lavender plants from Trader Joes! I have one in the ground that I bought last May and another in the house that I picked up recently and it's doing really well with small blooms. Ive posted pictures on another thread about that plant. Please keep me posted about the progress of your Costco lavender. I plan to vist Well Sweep Herb Farm in Port Murray, NJ in the next few months to see what kind of lavender plants I can find. They always have a nice selection of healthy organic plants! Thanks for your input!...See More- 9 years ago
