Down Comforter recommendations needed
Comments (16)We have the oversized king down comforter from The Company Store also which I love b/c my husband always seemed to pull our old comforter way over to his side. It replaced, our previous Company Store comforter which was at 20 years old. When I was buying our newest one, I could not decide what level of warmth to order. I called Customer Service and the rep was very helpful. I didn't get the lightest, nor the warmest (we use a quilt on top during colder months for added warmth when desired). I don't think The Company Store still sells the oversized comforter but I could be wrong....See Morefurniture recommendation needed

Comments (15)No one really knows what Silvinox is because Demeyere doesn’t say, but it is not a coating, it is described as a finishing ”treatment.” The conjecture that makes the most sense to me is that they are electropolishing the stainless steel or using passivation (using acid to scavenge the Fe) so that the alloy at the surface of the pan has slightly more Ni and Cr (and slightly less Fe) in that top layer. Either process should make that surface very smooth. Demeyere does not claim that these are non-stick pans, only that it keeps the pans looking new. I haven’t had the pleasure of using this pan but it sounds similar to the Hestan titanium in that they are making a stainless steel pan smoother, therefore slipperier than ordinary stainless steel, which is clever and effective. Demeyere “non-stick” pans (not what @debrak6 is describing) are aluminum with an induction-compatible base coated in PTFE (Tri-X coating) which they disclose on their web site, making them more forthright than many. But then, Demeyere has always been a heritage cookware for those lucky enough to have them passed down in their families like Le Creuset was in mine....See MoreLight colored PPG paint recommendations needed
Comments (0)Hi, I need some paint color recomendations in the PPG line of paints. (I do not want to monkey with color matching other brands.) We are on a tight timeline(!) and will be spraying the walls and ceiling of the entire house all one color. I’d love for it to feel light, fresh, and airy, but not cold. A little cozy is good, but I don't want the color to be too yellow or peachy. What color(s) would meet that need? -We are remodeling a small ranch with ceilings a little less than 8’ high. -Our days are often overcast and gloomy. The main living space is open concept. -There is 9’ of glazing facing south (triple slider) in the dining area in addition to a 42” wide window that will be over the kitchen sink. -There is also a 6’ wide window facing north in the living room along with a half window in the front door. -No windows face west. There is one small window facing east in master bath, thats it for eastern exposure. -Floors will be a natural white oak color. -Counters will be natural maple butcherblock, like the one in the picture, below. I’m planning on painting the kitchen cabinets either PPG Farm Fresh, top left, or Lottery Winnings, bottom left. (Opinions?) I’m thinking either Cottontail, Commercial White, or Delicate White for the trim. I would like some contrast between trim and walls. It seems like the colors that look would good in the kitchen dining area die into dinginess in the living room area. I will add more pictures soon…...See More- 9 years agolizbeth-gardener thanked dcarch7 d c f l a s h 7 @ y a h o o . c o m
