I think if you want color I would go with a green like the bottle on you counter. Glass would look really nice. Bias alert! I am partial to green with natural cherry.

With the green undertones in your counter I'm afraid the blue would clash. I'd stick with a lighter green sea glass color -- Fireclay's Fennel, Sea Glass or maybe even Atlantic. For some reason, the bold blue backsplash paired with dark counters isn't working.

I'll throw this out for your consideration. In my former house I had a mosaic that looked like slate. We had natural cherry cabinets with Blue in the Night antiqued granite that read black. Probably too dark for the large expanse you have, but wanted to show you another idea. Love your cabinets!

I would probably go with the lighter blue because when you have more than one tile the overall feel will be darker. When I did my backsplash, I color matched as close as possible my tile to paint, got a sample jar and painted the backsplash so I could see the overall effect.

I'm not sure if it's in contention but I like the second from the left in the photo with 4 tiles. Pretty kitchen!

I like Caribbean the best, but I've always loved moody blues. The other blues are too saturated with the gray in the countertop (which is beautiful).

I like the idea of matching paint to see how it looks before committing.

My comment made no sense. Trying again. I like the Caribbean best. The other blues don't go as well with the countertop, which is pretty gray, because they are too saturated. :-)

I have Fireclay Tile Caribbean in a paseo shape installed in a fountain and I love it. I echo the suggestion above of Nautical or Slate blue - those are stunning blues that will be more subtle than Caribbean or Aegean. Martinique is also an amazing blue installed:

YMM, your kitchen is really gorgeous. You must be so pleased. We also have Rubio on our floors and love it. I like the Caribbean and both of eam's choices. Take your time to decide and get it right. I can hardly wait to see it finished.
