Does anyone see any warmer sunny weather coming? This is a joke.
Comments (27)Tom, I got a largish order of pachycauls recently, from the Kilometerstogo feller, and a number of them show green shoots - I just don't think it's the time to expose them to wettish weather in the high 40s/low 50s at night - that sounds like The Reaper would have an appetite for destruction. And I don't know why you would sell them to those SouCal folks - they don't need them, it's the rest of us who do. Mike, I'm going to lift some spirits later, too - agave ambrosia in the afternoon for the gardening help. I figure I'll have earned the wobbly soda by then. I'd like the plants to grow as well as they can up here, and that can be done only by, IMO, the plants growing outside and taking advantage of the (usually) dry heat and long days of sunshine. Karen, I did note that (being a Weather Channel daily watcher). It's been highly coincidental that the good weather's usually occurring during the week and the weekend is wet. Nevertheless, it feels warm enough to put out some plants. I'm going to take your happy thoughts with me as I prepare a table for some outside plants (and these will be in the wild, wild West of the yard - something I have to think about, plants subject to the depredations of bear and deer). Hmmm, bears further thought....See MoreDoes It Just Happen To Me??
Comments (7)I've usually got no less than a dozen projects going at anyone time. I have "oops" moments all the time. Last one was I was replacing a broken window pane on my enclosed porch. I had everything out. Glass fit nearly perfectly into the spot I wanted it to go into. Get ready to put on the glaze and the glass slips thru the pane and onto the floor. Broke into two. I had to run to the hardware store and get another piece cut. My bigger problem is getting all the materials together for whatever project I want to do. Seems just about anything I want to do requires at lest three trips to the store to get all the proper materials together. It's not a matter of my forgetting or getting the wrong parts it's the availablity of things.Seems there really is no such thing as one stop shopping when doing crafts or treasures....See Moreread it in the paper so I know it really happened (joke)

Comments (48)Remember the scam with "Microsoft" calling people telling you your computer is infected. They called me, more than once. I had fun with it. I knew MS wouldn't be calling me to let me know I had a virus but I played along. Of course it was an eastern Indian that I could barely understand so I kept asking him to repeat what he said. Then I would act surprised and horrified. I thanked him over and over for calling to save my computer! I'd pretend to go get my cc so I could pay for their services and make them hold for several minutes. I would act computer illiterate and have to be told over and over again what to do and type. I'd ask "where is the "any" key?" :) I'd pretend to get another call and ask him to hold. Finally after string them along for 20 mins or longer, I'd say something like, "Gotcha you low life scum!"...See More- 9 years ago
