Question for Marilyn_Sue
Comments (16)We call it ham salad, to. I make it all the time. I use 2 lbs bologna, 9 or so boiled eggs, a 24oz jar of sweet pickles,1 baseball sized onion and miracle whip. Sometimes after it sits you need to add more miracle. I use the old fashion hand grinder. I grind up the eggs first, then all the other things. Yummy, yummy.. One day I was coming out of Meijer and I heard someone call my name. It was a guy my hub worked with years ago and we had camped with a few times when our kids were young. He asked me if I would send him my ham salad recipe. He said he had trisd to make it a couple times and it never tasted right. He told me it was the best he had ever had. he gave me his email address and I sent it to him.. I, too, like the Echrich bologna the best. I just got a new table and chairs and it won't work to fasten the grinder to it. I have to figure out some other place to do it. I am sure hubby wil get something figured out for me. It is one of his favorite things.. Susie...See MoreQuestion for MarilynC, and others
Comments (18)I always thought miniature elephants would be cool... Those goat babies are adorable. My sister kept goats as pets for years. She used to take them for walks on the beach and had one that liked to ride on a surfboard. The last of them passed away last year from old age....See MoreQuestion for Marilyn_C about shrimping
Comments (17)It's a beautiful boat and we go straight to the boat for our shrimp when we can. Polly Anna ended up crashed into a house during Harvey but is back in business now. We are not yearly vacationers, we vacation on a budget. We'll look into Seabrook. We didn't love Galveston although it's closer that PortA. Maybe it's time for a change. We like the off season, October or January (because we find sea dollars). If we come to the closer beach, we'll definitely look you up. Did you hear that Talley Calvert pressed today?...See MoreMarilyn C- moving??
Comments (58)Thank you everyone. I think we are getting out of here at a good time. The loop 610 goes around Houston. Beltway 8 goes around that, and way out beyond that loop is the Grand Parkway. It isn't completely finished, but a part of it is being built a few miles from where we live. It then goes through Kemah and Seabrook, which is on the bay, where Jody keeps his boat. It eventually ties up with part built in Baytown, and continues on around Houston. There is a bridge between Kemah and Seabrook, and it is going to be replaced with a 6 lane bridge. We went to a funeral today and came back that way to check the boat. The traffic was backed up for miles. On weekends, it is worse. It is a nightmare. Makes me really want to go live somewhere that has a much slower pace. Jody is thinking about moving his boat closer to the Louisiana border, and shrimping out of there....See Moremarilyn_c
