Comments (6)IF your worried about the light, then use the flash. Spiders stop moving when you shoot them head on, pose your bug moving them with a stick. They don't want you to notice them..becoming prey themselves(jumping spiders are the exception, always moving). Use a tripod and ISO 100. Ladybugs on the other hand move constantly. Comments (12)socks, yes I do wear my pins. Of course I have favorites that I wear often and then some that haven't been worn for years. I have not read Madeline Albrights book. I remember putting it on my Christmas list at the time it was published, didn't get it then and had completely forgotten about it. Thanks Casey and socks for reminding me. I will be on a hunt for it. Comments (9)I was surprised earlier in the week to see that Bewick's Wrens had nested in our birch birdhouse. They were very secretive, and I only chanced upon the two parents and the begging young once, and have yet to see or hear them there again even though the house is in plain view. They must have begun nesting around the end of last year--which is surprisingly early. They don't usually begin nesting until February-March....See More
