Adenium from stabilized seed
Comments (56)With the limited experience I have. A reputable grower is trying to produce different hybirds and sells seeds to you/us with no different percentages of the seedlings being anywhere true, but hopefully with some similar characteristics or possibly an "new" hybrid. Which is then sold as grafted or tissue culture for a clone of the mother plant. I believe when purchasing seed, you cannot expect anything, just be happy with something different or uniquie. If someone wants a particular flower of liking, then they need to purchase a grafted plant, unless the nursery/seller is selling that plant in photo as is. Just my take on this. Comments (18)Just to play catch-up, here is a picture of my plant today. As you can see two more pods have opened with one more waiting in the wings! Got lots of seed and can't use all of them, so if you have a warm (70F or better) to grow them, my email is: LASSERH@HOTMAIL.COM I planted several this past Monday and even in my cool greenhouse (64F nights/68F ~ 70F days) several have germinated....See MoreReputable seed sources of Adenium Seeds
Comments (22)Catch 22! We want them all because the satisfaction that comes from successfully propagating these beauties quickly turns into a healthy obsession. I am trying to refrain myself from purchasing mixed seed as we speak. I luv the anticipation & surprise that comes with propagating mixed seed ... Soon, very soon! I will wait patiently for my now 3-6 month old seedlings to introduce their blooms. My 4 month old is beginning to branch on its own. It's such a treat to watch every aspect of their development. It's so nice to have all of you to share the journey with. Peace & blessings to all. - Maria Elena...See MoreThai Socotranum growth Vs Obesum/Arabicum growth from seed?
Comments (20)phil...if your growing PBN, it will grow tall in its first year, this thai soco is not like other ones who will be fat right away, PBNs main trait is the middle main stem, they will fatten up more after 16 to 20 months, this is the very first PBN in thailand owned by a master, and he only specialize in this Breed, so all his seeds and seedlings is pure PBN, not Open pollinated, so if our seeds came directly to the mother tree, we can expect the baby seedling on the second picture will be the same and this master doesn't sell to anyone like a normal customer, he wont sell anything to you unless your a dedicated person and love what you do,and if your dedicated to it, he might not even sell and he will just give and this is one of her babies, this PBN seedling costs $1500 and more PBN seedlings...See MoreMartin (retired viking from Denmark)
