New and sure could use some help!
Comments (6)Thank you everyone for your suggestions! I will try them and also view the video and give it another go today. Tom_nwnj: I didn't mention that I used Gumout to clean the carb before I doused it with the Sea Foam and blew it out. The interior of the carb looked very clean when I first opened it up, so I'm not sure I'm inclined to tear it apart again just yet, but I will if nothing else works. And, ericwi... it's been 80 degrees here for the past few days, so I don't think 'warm' is an issue! The metal is already pretty hot as it is from sitting outside : ) It's frustrating since it's definitely getting gas (does that mean the carb IS working properly?), and definitely getting a spark. Yet not even a lick of life when I pull the starter rope. Maybe the on/off switch is not working, who knows. I'll post back with my progress in a bit!...See MoreSure could use some extra thoughts
Comments (22)Healing thoughts for your dh. Hope his meds and some TLC do the job and he is feeling lots better very soon. My Bro-in-law is getting over pnemonia and he is as strong as a horse. Didn't matter tho, it kicked his buns. Dh said although BIL is getting better he still sounds tough after 3 weeks. As a mom I can't imagine being down for so long. Yesterday I subbed for a fifth grade class where a young man seated in front of me was barking like a seal. I soooo wanted to have him go home. He was feeling great, just a terrible cough. I sure hope it was nothing contagious or I'm toast. :\...See MoreThis room could sure use some fresh ideas!
Comments (22)Uptownmom, since the room is cozy, spreading out the two chairs to face the bnaquette will give you more room to move through the room to the kitchen. Is that the main entrance to the kitchen? A light and fresh "club" room is the look you should go for. The wall where the banquette is important because it is the first wall you see when entering your home. You can still keep it uncluttered and have it extremely functional. Consider hanging the art you now have over the bar, to the right of the banquette and hung very low - 24"? off the floor, just to add some different interest. So that you don't get too many highs and lows in a small room, use the top of the window (before the arch) as a guide for anything not to go over that height, including the art. It will help keeping "the luxury of space" with nothing hanging or going over that height. This is such a great idea, UTM. I always get so many ideas from houzz that I can "steal" for my own projects! Please don't forget to post the outcome....See MoreI could really use some help with this moss rose.
Comments (6)@Stephanie, 9b inland SoCal I agree with you about the MG Moisture Control Potting Soil. I have used it exclusively for MANY years. I planted MANY hanging baskets and pots to sell at the nursery at the beach and for clients in Pacific Palisades, the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys. It's all I have used for my own potted roses and the only media I have used to raise rose seedlings in for YEARS. It has all been because it doesn't dry out quickly; prevents over watering; doesn't cake on the surface, preventing water from penetrating; and hasn't broken down quickly like most potting soils I have experimented with have. Everything now is potted and MG Moisture Control is still all I use. It gets expensive to buy but it lasts so long and everything grows so well in it, I probably save money in the long run....See Moreingeorgia
