where do you keep all your cake, muffin, etc. pans?
Comments (9)This post made me smile because I have a lot of bakeware too. Cookie sheets and muffin pans go into a 12" wide base cab along with cutting boards: Most of my bakeware goes into the 36" wide base cab with pullouts at the far left side of this photo: And my serveware (including square/rectangular baking pans, lasagna pans, etc) goes into the cabinets above and below the MW: Also FWIW, I put in a baking center at the end of the island closest to the range (it doesn't really show in these pix) -- it's just a base cab lowered 4" to provide a comfortable height for rolling out dough and such. It's wonderful for a hardcore baker!...See Morearc fault circuit keeps tripping
Comments (2)Thanks @Ronnatalie. I'm not screwing around and constantly flipping the breaker, but thanks for the concern. Update: I did some more tests and thought i isolated the short at the outlet which I think is first on the circuit. I replaced the outlet and tried and the breaker stayed on. But then all of a sudden when I was putting things back together (stuffing boxes and replacing cover plates), the circuit tripped again. I figured I must have a wire exposed and grounding or something but after re-disassembling everything I saw no issues and the breaker still wouldn't stay on. So I gave up. I think i'm just going to call an electrician, but I wanted to see if anyone has any last minute thoughts based on the recent experience......See MoreGarden bed retaining walls - loose them, keep them or...
Comments (23)Removing the tall shrubs, those two ball shrubs in front of the retaining wall and any dead plants would be a good way to start on it yourself. If you determine that you do need a retaining wall, I would replace the wood with brick and add brick cheek walls at the steps to unify the house. A mix of perennial and annual plants will add color and softness. Draping plants will help minimize the wall once it is painted to match the house. You won't need railings with proper height cheek walls and can build them to hold pots of plants at the entry. Here are some ways to treat retaining and cheek walls. A low tree like the one on the right might look good under the bay window if you can keep it low enough....See MoreAre these 2 pieces of furniture worth keeping?
Comments (7)I cannot use either piece now...they do not fit in current residence. I have multi storages (I downsized from a large house) and have been working on eliminating all storage units except one. I must pick and choose the pieces of furniture I want to keep for potential future use that will fit in the one remaining storage (such as if I move or if I want to swap out pieces in current residence). These are 2 pieces l love, HOWEVER....I'm not sure if they are easily replaceable, as in quality. I don't mind letting them go if they are not of high quality - I feel I can replace them should I ever have the desire. If they are of a high quality & it is worthwhile to keep, then I'd like to keep them since replacing them wouldn't be possible. It's easy for me to know on all my other items-they are either keepers and work now or they are pieces that go to the one remaining storage due to their uniqueness and/or quality for possible future use. These 2 are my unknowns, I'm not certain on their quality or uniqueness....See Moremorz8 - Washington Coast
