Please share your after Christmas bargains!
Comments (43)Thought I had started my above response with today's find, but see I didn't. It must have been on my other board. Today I went to a town about 20 minutes away with my sister. She was looking for a pair of winter boots that she had seen there. We stopped in a Walgreens to look. We don't have a Walgreens, but one is being built a few miles away in our sister city. Anyway today I found two 6 foot lighted trees in urns for $10 each at Walgreens. They were originally $39.99! I was really excited. They had three more and I really wish that I would have bought at least one more. The two I got are for the outside of the house in the front. We will be screening our covered back porch in soon and I should have gotten one for out there and I think that I might like the look of one in my entry. The size would be good for it. Oh well, at least I got the two....See MoreOur Christmas card photo this year, want to share yours?
Comments (43)oh my bestyears, I can't believe how calm your (very attractive) children look next to the maniacal looking cat. I'm afraid of being scratched just looking at that picture. Thank you to everyone for sharing your cards, there are so many wonderful photos of kids & animals. I probably mentioned this before but my sister received a photo card from her friends, just the adults and not the kids or pets. They wrote something clever about how everybody has cute kids and pets but how are the adults holding up? It was funny and pretty bold, since after a certain age many of us aren't willing to share photos of greying, aging selves with old high school friends....See MoreCare to share your Christmas card photo?
Comments (20)I have already posted this on another forum but here's our card for this year. Amos and Andi are 5 years old and are brother and sister Minilabradoodles. Asher - my GS is 29 months. Amos and Andi learned "place" at puppy school and I used it the first year to get a good picture. Every year since when I pull out their jinglecollars, they run and place for me. Asher was the one I had trouble getting to stay still - about 40 pictures and this was the only one that was "almost" perfect....See MoreShare your Christmas decor and your pet(s)
Comments (69)No, but I think we used too much water to start with. My husband, genius that he might be, went dense when he decided that the hose would be quicker than a spray bottle. Winded up soaking the tree even with the mist attachment on. When we went to flock, the tree was soaked but we still misted the flock to activate it. Next day, the tree was still wet. Think it took a week to dry. But, between the ornaments and flock, it's bent out of shape. Here's two pics I just took. It's been flocked since 12/3....See More- 9 years ago
