That''s going to be a challenge. I, too, live in the coastal PNW, but our winds never exceed 50 mph. I have a very solid greenhouse, but would worry about its panels getting blown out with your extreme wind conditions. My only suggestion is for you to call each manufacturer directly and find out what they have to say about maximum wind load for their various designs.

Good idea about calling the manufacturer. What kind of GH do you have and where do you live? I'm in Seal Rock, south of Newport. When it blows it sometimes feels like a log is going to blast right through the living room windows! Just heh-heh. I read about Alaska owners and felt a little better, but the ocean winds pull some drama. I will call and see what they say. Thanks.

I did contact the manufacturer for the Grandio Elite which is the one I'm leaning towards. They were fantastic- friendly, patient people. Know I'd get excellent help with assembly. They had some ideas about further securing and protecting, and believed it would survive our wind. The GH would stand about 30 feet from the house and gets some wind protection from it, not like it's standing out on the edge of our cliff greeting the blasts. They have another customer here on the coast and promised to send pictures of what he has done to secure his investment. I'm in love with this thing.

Glad you're making progress. It would be so disappointing to pick out and install what seems like just the right greenhouse for your needs, and then to have wind problems. Please keep us posted. I'm sure a number of people here on GW will benefit from what you find out.
