Comments (19)I have the same experience as Olychick regarding Cusinart made after 2005. Bought a Cusinart food processor after 2005 and it broke within 3 months while making pesto. Agree with what Olychick wrote: "I don't remember the Model #. It lasted until about 2007 or so. The shaft finally gave way or something...I can't really remember but it wasn't repairable. I bought a new one, also the largest available...it lasted a couple of years of very light use....I never make bread anymore, but still chop/slice/grate everything in it or in my mini. It quit working and I sent it in for warranty repairs which took 3 months or some gawd-awful length of time. Got it back, it lasted less than a year. From Straw: I still have my KitchenAid heavy-duty food processor for 15 years, works great in grinding meat. Kneading bread didn't work though. I need to shop for a smaller one to grind a smaller amount of meat or pesto, with less cleaning....See MoreAnyone with a Cuisinart food processor?
Comments (19)Raven, the blade may have a model number on the top of the hub but that may not be your model number. The site asks for the specific model number. To find it, turn your base over and look for the specific model number. It may be hard to read as the text is molded to the base and is teeny tiny....See MoreCuisinart processor blade recall
Comments (58)Me too. For reference, I'm the one who very quickly received a replacement a couple of weeks after registering in December. They just sent the wrong blade. There was a flurry of correspondence in the first week of January with a written promise to send the correct blade when it became available. Today, (six months later) I was e-mailed the following update: "Valued Customer, "Thank you for your inquiry. According to our records, your blade won'"t [SIC] ship out until after June sometime. Now this is just an estimate and you could be receiving it a lot sooner than that. If you have any further questions please reply, with all previous correspondences attached, to this email. We invite you to call our Customer Service Department at 1-800-726-0190. Please keep in mind the Customer Service Agent will not have access to your e-mail information. The hours of operation are 7 AM -11 PM EST Monday through Friday and 9 AM - 5:30 PM on Saturdays and Sundays, excluding major holidays." FWIW, my original blade is still fine apart from seeming to be starting to dull a bit after 15 years use. Otherwise, I might be more annoyed about the length of time it is taking to get the replacement....See MoreNot happy about the way Cuisinart is handling the recall
Comments (17)I did it online. If the website is overloaded, do it at night. I haven't received the blade yet, but yesterday I got a letter from the store I bought it from a dozen years ago. I agree that they should have a confirmation that comes up on the website for your model number not needing the replacement, but they're aware of all their models, so if yours isn't on the recall list, it's a different blade (some here have said made in a different country). I hear your frustration, but be patient. It'll be fine in the end. This is the full list of prefixes for the recalled models/series, shown on the declaration on the bottom of the motor housing. If yours isn't on this list, it isn't recalled. • CFP-9 • CFP-11 • DFP-7 • DFP-11 • DFP-14 • DLC-5 • DLC-7 • DLC-8 • DLC-10 • DLC-XP • DLC-2007 • DLC-2009 • DLC-2011 • DLC-2014 • DLC-3011 • DLC-3014 • EV-7 • EV-10 • EV-11 • EV-14 • KFP-7 • MP-14...See Morejaviwa
