Comments (7)Janis, i enjoyed your story too. My DH was a duct tape fanitic also. Now DD is. I have another story about her. She has this siamese cat that she could not train to stay off the kitchen cabinet. DD can be a very determined person at times. so she got the idea to teach Flash the cat a lesson. She put several peices of duct tape sticky side up and weighted lightly down on the cabinet. Along came Flash,DD came into the kitchen to find a bewildered cat with three feet attached to squares of tape. He has'nt been on the cabinet since. Oh and the tape came off without hurting Flash. vickie...See MoreSpeaking of Duct Tape..........
Comments (4)I enjoy seeing the prom outfits that some creative kids come up with each year to enter in the Duct Tape contest to win a $5000 scholarship. They are so creative! I've linked the winning couple from 2012. Look at their outfit! Can yall believe they made this out of duct tape? All of the top ten couples are amazing, and I love the ones that made duct tape flowers parts of their prom attire. In this heat maybe we should be amusing ourselves by making festive garden attire out of duct tape. Or, maybe we should be making fake garden plants, flowers and veggies out of duct tape. It would look better than the brownish green plants in the garden now. Dawn Here is a link that might be useful: 2012 Prom Contest Winners...See Morehi need some ideas for cheap easy kids crafts
Comments (4)When I was doing daycare, we made some really cool ornaments. I bought clear glass ball ornaments. The kids dripped a little bit of 2 different colors of glass paint into it. I taped the top shut and they gently rolled them around on the floor until the inside of the ball was completely covered. To dry them I removed the tape and layed them upside down in egg cartons to allow the excess paint to drip out. After dry, I replaced the hanger piece and we tied ribbons to the tops. They really turned out neat, looked like a marble finish....See MoreSpeaking of Duct Tape ...
Comments (5)Duck Tape: Don't malign it. It has gotten me out of scapes several times especially when traveling by auto. An example: One year, I bought a car top carrier to haul the lighter, but bulky items for an family vacation trip. Silly me; I did not take the time to make a trial run with it days before the trip. We loaded up the car and installed the family and merrily got under way. It wasn't until we got 15 miles away from home and for the first time got up to expressway speed when the problem appeared. The cross bars whistled! It was driving us nuts. No way could we have stood that all day. I pulled over to the side of the road, got out my trusty duct tape, and closed the ends of the bars - end of the whistle and wind noise. We continued the trip in peace - vacation saved!...See Moresusanjf_gw
