Table runner I made today

This one is for my daughter who loves birds.

I still would love to find the peppermint candy pattern and make one with the birds for Christmas and do it in reds.

Why isn't the photo showing up? I downsized it, thinking it may be too large.

Thanks everyone. I am enjoying picking the fabric for these table runners from my stash. I have been collecting FQ's with no special project in mind so I have a nice selection from which to choose. Bopeep - the kids are both feeling better this week. Barbaratx - The pattern is Calendar Table Runners # 140 from Little Quilt Company. I bought it in Dublin, OH at the Red Rooster quilt shop. The pattern company is www.littlequiltcompany.com Sharon - I love bonding with DD over quilting. She is a beginner but has a great eye for color. (Much better than I do.) Fran - the blog was created for me by DD. She is a professional web designer and has her own business. I am having fun blogging about my quilting. Did you notice the straight pins holding up the pictures? This was an extra that Jen added for me. I just have to remember to click on it when I add a picture. Thanks again for all the nice comments. Geraldine, I found a fabric in my stash to use with the place mats last night. I hope to finish them today. Barbara, I did make a table runner for each month last year. I still have to quilt the last two runners. I posted each of them on my blog as I finished them. Donna, I have fun using up scraps. You are not boring me with your table runners! I enjoy seeing them. I would definitely use brown on the pots, and maybe pink on the flowers, and perhaps a light aqua for the the meander. Aqua & brown is very trendy & pretty when subtle IMHO. Appliqueing with the matching colors of the pot & flowers will make them stand out against the all over light aqua meander. ~~ I think, but after you lay out the threads, you may not like the aqua. artlover, We do offer table runners with our other custom work. We always have a lining or interlining (or both) inside ours. Since we usually make them reversible, too, the lining helps hide the fabric from showing through. Interlining or flannel just gives an extra plushness. The style and type of fabrics used is taken into consideration. Occasionally the fabric is so bulky we would skip the interlining and possibly the lining. They are not all simple to make, but can be. There are so many variations with trims, cording, several fabrics may be used, adding tassels on the ends, etc, can all make them quite expensive if it's all custom ordered. The one lyban has is pretty typical of the ones we make. We have a really neat looking one in the shop right now with little triangles (pennants) on the ends and polished stones sewn onto the ends! I sew too, but making a simple table runner has not always been easy if the fabrics stretch! I like cotton fabrics--some of polyesters can be a PIA.

Beautiful runner, Loralee. Your daughter will love it.

As for the photo issue, I just touch the Photo icon below the text box, which automatically accesses my computer files. Then I find the photo I want and touch Choose and it loads. Size doesn't seem to be an issue on Houzz as it is on some other sites. Sorry I can't be of more help.

That's a nice runner!

Sometimes it takes a little while for the photo to load. And sometimes "Photo" will work if the "Houzz Photo" doesn't.

I wish to thank everyone for their help with the photo upload and the compliments on my table runner.

If anyone happens to see patterns for the Peppermint candy or the Four Patch Fancy Table runners. I would appreciate any one letting me know.
