New Kitchen Aid Induction Range
Comments (227)I ended up buying a Bosch Benchmark induction cooktop. I love having a great looking kitchen, but I love having a working family kitchen more. L.earning how to cook means how to wash, clean, be respectful of your tools, but not to the detriment of enjoying cooking for yourself, family and friends. Investigate the following: replacement cost for new glass top and then build that into your budget costs for every few years if the battle scars bug you that much. But worrying about scratches while trying to enjoy boys in the kitchen? Your tocque is on backwards ;-) Have a good time. They grow and are gone much too soon!...See MoreKitchenAid & Jenn-Air SlideIn Induction Range Availability
Comments (8)I had ordered a Kenmore Elite model 42623 induction range, but it got damaged in shipment. Before ordering a replacement, I did some research on other induction ranges and really liked the KitchenAid KSIB900ESS, so I ordered it on sears.com for full retail price, which I never do! Sears gave me a 7/26/2016 delivery date, which seems kind of a long way out. So I did some more searching around the web for info on this model and found this forum. I had no idea about the "history" of this range getting into the market so eager buyers could actually purchase it! Despite the delay, I'm going to keep my order open. I'm a little concerned that Lowes and Home Depot list this range as "discontinued"? I hope that isn't true. I have a favorable opinion of KitchenAid, am eager to get induction, and like the specs for this range. But what really has me willing to wait is the sleek and gorgeous styling of this range! No obtrusive knobs, it has a minimalist glass top without the thick printed circles, great oven handle design, all stainless exterior, ... just an A+ to me....See MoreAbout to buy Wolf induction range -- any reason not to?
Comments (14)The replacement 36" Wolf Induction Range has been in place for a couple of months and not really used much as we completed the kitchen. We have now had it operational for several weeks. We are very excited by all of the benefits of the induction top: precise control, rapid temperature adjustments and the even performance of the convection oven. Unfortunately, this second oven has also developed a service issue. About one week ago, the unit began experiencing an E09 error condition on the front right hob. The fault is identified as an issue with Generator 2 and the service representative is ordering a part with a possible replacement date of this Friday. Admittedly, I am beginning to develop some genuine concern about reliability given the amount of money invested in this purchase. To have 2 different ranges have 2 different problems in the short term we have had them is upsetting. I'm not sure if it is coincidence or symptomatic of a larger quality problem. While the service process has been smooth and responsive, I'm disappointed to have to share that I've even had to use them this early in my experience with this new product. The service tech maintains that the failures that he's seeing in the field are few and far between. I'm wondering if anyone else is having issues with their range. I think Wolf is still exclusive with a 36" induction range but I'd love to hear from others who have either the 30 or 36" induction range models. How's your reliability?....See MoreInduction Experts Help- a question about induction range cleaning
Comments (13)The shattering is an on-going problem not limited to one brand and also for wall ovens. The majority of the manufacturer's are purchasing the glass from the same source and from what I've read that it is the glass itself is the cause and not the ovens themselves. Some have said that the glass mfg has taken to cheapening the glass for cost and it doesn't react positively to the high heat. I don't know why your older oven glass shattered as I have not read that happening to older models. Seems like it has been happening more to models that are 10 yrs (or so) to current. I have not read where it has been an issue for GE. I had a Decor wall oven out of warranty that the inside glass panel shattered due to me putting cold water on the hot glass. My partner is pretty handy and he was able to order a new glass panel and install it himself . It basically was removing screws in the door so it saved Service Call cost. I don't know if you saw this older thread but it is current as the subject still is... https://www.houzz.com/discussions/3772064/bosch-oven-door-glass-shattered-during-self-clean#26064901...See More- 7 years ago
