I like the pillar style better w/your slip covered chairs. It will balance better.

I would suggest a larger piece of art to start. the scale is too small for the buffet . You will find you need less other things-you are trying to fill the side spaces where the "art isn't". It would agin balance the table and chairs etc. and size of the room.

I'd love to see a real branch in the vase on the buffet. Something green will bring this pretty room to life.

Very interesting space. I agree with comments that a larger piece of art work would be better over the buffet or possibly increasing the "visual" size with some iron, beefy candle sconces might work too. As for the original question, the chandelier. The two choices wouldn't be my first choice. Here are a couple alternatives to consider.

With the rectangular table, a choice that repeats that shape and the shape of your buffet would be pleasing. Also, any chandelier over this table should be hung so the bottom of the chandelier is approximately 30" from the top of the table. The one in the photo is hung too high. Common mistake, easy to avoid. However, whatever you do eventually decide, make sure you have enough chain or posts to get the drop level to the proper height.

pretty room. yes to what Flo suggested. larger frame/matting. you could also put a tall plant in a warm(red/yel/org or even a patina green) ceramic pot and put in the corner by window. It just seems that wall is so lonely looking! on the opposite side, maybe a little table with a potted ivy plant trailing over, or piece of pottery. Perhaps the yard utensils could be hung horizontally on that wall?

I have found a very interesting chandelier that is different, unique and could be a real winner. The reason I selected this one, is because while your home is somewhat rustic, it is also refined and chic. This chandelier combines rustic with a copper metal look, and chic with some interesting drop chunks of crystal. What do you think?

This would hang about 18" inside the outer edge of your table. I assumed it was 72" long and 38" wide. It also doesn't take up a lot of visual space, so it keeps your views open and the I really like the copper with your painting. If you want more rustic here is another choice.

That is perfect combination! Well done. The metal speaks to the rustic Spanish, the wood beads speak to the casual, and the shape speaks to the "elegant" vibe. Perfect. I think when you get your art work reframed you will see how that "scale" will pull everything together. I would not do a "pure white" mat but a linen, one so there is some texture. However, also look for wood framing that builds in the mat, because if that is acrylic or oil painting, a "mat" isn't appropriate IMO. But you can consult with your "framing" friend for expert advice. Have a great day admiring your fine chandelier!

I think it is all just beautiful..I would suggest off setting the art over buffet and adding something to the open side...maybe a couple smaller pieces of art to complement your art from Bali! A slender sconce or small shelf with a small piece of art leaning on it.

also check your chandelier height..shouldn't be much heigher than around 32" from top of table.

A large claim shell bowl with succulents would be beautiful on the table.

I think a simple line of small dark glass votives would be all you need on that table. Keep the view clean in all directions.

I like your beaded[?] chandelier.... repeats a 'faded/distressed' part of your buffet - I've seen similar with turquoise and maybe white, but yours, nice.
