Lotus Sanitizing system
Comments (119)I have had 2 Lotus Sanitizing Systems. The first came with a broken display. Part of the area where you see the time and percentage digitally was permanently black. We called customer support and they sent us a return label. We packed the thing up and sent it back and got another one very promptly. We have been using that other one for about 5 month now. However, 2-3 of those months have been very frustrating. The unit will struggle to get through a charging cycle. It sounds like it is starting and stopping many many times during the cycle. 50% of the time it will just turn off with no error codes. I then have to unplug it, plug it back in, and start over hoping that it finished the cycle this time. I have called customer support many times, but I call after hours because I only remember to call after work or on Saturdays and they are closed by then. This last time (today - Saturday) I left a message. Hopefully I remember to call them Monday during business hours if I don't hear back from them. My wife and I love the idea of cleaning with ozone and when it was working properly we loved the product. I need to call Lotus to have them replace this unit. I don't think they will hesitate with doing that since we had such a good experience before with them replacing the first one. My only concern about this product is that it seems to not be manufactured very well. I say this because I have had 2 of them and I have had problems with 2 of them. It isn't cheap. I was hoping that it would work without problems. At least they have good customer support to replace the unit WHEN it goes bad....See MorePlease help me redo my Yukon former hunting lodge.
Comments (28)Your home is beautiful ~ I love the windows and the view is breathtaking. Here are my suggestions. I think the arched, painted bookcases detract from the massive beauty of the fireplace stone. Maybe rough sawn cedar beam shelving, or pine, to compliment the weightiness of that beautiful fireplace? The other suggestion I have is to google log homes and notice the kinds of lighting and decor they use. Antlers made into chandeliers, stuffed birds hung from the cathedral ceiling as though in flight, bear rugs, massive log furniture. We have a log house with a big, natural stone fireplace (not as big as yours!) :-) Our floors are slate, too. Our cabinets are simple pine with black wrought iron handles. There are no arches anywhere in the house ~ everything is simple, straight and clean, emphasizing the beauty of the wood, stone, and glass. Our mouldings are made from rough sawn pine log ~ even around the fireplace mantle. The pieces which are highly visible have worm tracks in the wood, which is very cool. To us, anyway! We are down South for the winter, or I would try to post some pictures here for you. Your house is going to be just beautiful! Barbara...See MoreEighties Contemporary HELP! Please...
Comments (33)Architectural Styles often don't get a unique descriptive name until after the fact. CA contemporary or 80s contemporary is about as close as you are going to get other than "Late 20th century American Vernacular" which doesnt even describe as much as 80s contemporary. The name that I have for this type of interior is perhaps a bit negative, but I dont really mean it to be: "high interest rate, or recession interior" Many houses built during the 70s and 80s when interest rates were very high are all exteriors. The inside is a white box with minimal trim, hollow core doors and a mixed bag of lighting and hardware that is generally in conflict with the interior spareness (neo-victorian lighting comes to mind). The architect's or custom builder's version of this home would have had slate or quarry tile floors, exposed brick or stone, probably some real wood paneling, wall to wall in a post seventies shag or sculptured finish--and antique brass or bronze hardware with some whacked out Paul Evans style pendant lighting. (Also known as a "seventies p o rn interior" :-) So perhaps you are better off with the blank slate as far as adaptability goes....See MoreLaundry/ Dog Spa needs help- PLEASE! I'm going nuts
Comments (30)I love the tile and the peacock wallpaper! My only misgiving about that pretty tile is the grout and maintenance aspect. Will that be too much grout for you and is the mother of pearl tile too delicate a surface for your needs? The wallpaper is a winner but check the scale of the motif. The examples shown are murals. Will the peacock be whole if you order the smallest size, etc.? Also, check the size you want against canvas frame sizes before ordering to make sure it will be an easy wall art project. You don't want the wallpaper to be an inch narrower than your preferred canvas size, for example. Might be obvious but thought I'd mention it. :)...See Morewwbungalow
