HELP-Black Leathered or White Quartz Countertop!
Comments (5)Honestly, I would definitely ditch that Caprice back splash. It's over kill on blue. I'd take a white quartz that has very SUBTLE and scattered veining, and use it everywhere. Go right up the back splash with it. Easiest clean up..... the range will be the star. Match the hood to it and be done : ) and you will have a light and fresh and still beachy result Or......... plain white quartz on the counters all.....and a splash in marble. Let the range "star" in both cases.http://www.marblesystems.com/product/glacier-honed-marble-tiles-2-3-4x5-1-2/...See Morecalacatta laza quartz or Adonis white countertop with white cabinets?

Comments (7)Cutting or increasing a colour by a percentage is open to a great deal of interpretation. So it’s kind of a clunky approach unless you have actually seen the results of a specific colour being manipulated from a specific store and liked it. Does it mean somewhat lighter - but the same degree of colourfulness? Does it mean both lighter + less colourful? Whichever it is - you end up with a new colour - which you may - or may not like. You can however, create an effective palette layering white & off-white tones together. The secret? Ensuring the two ’whites’ look deliberate, by having enough contrast so neither looks dingy or dirty next to the other. This can be done by managing their difference in Chroma. (degree of colourfulness) And if they aren’t too close together in Hue, nor too far apart either, this also adds to the degree of contrast. As Colour Guru Lori Saway explains ,if two white surfaces ’have a minimum difference in Chroma of at least 0.2 then neither will appear dingy or dirty alongside the other.’ #huefamilies #white #chroma...See Morehelp identifying white patch on hanstone aura quartz countertop
Comments (1)It does look like resin pooling in Quartz. If it is resin pooling, the manufacturers exclude it from their warranties as it is considered a normal part of the manufacturing process. We have seen on this forum much worse examples of resin pooling than what you show. On occasion if the resin pooling is enormous, you can get a replacement counter. It might be a tough battle. The only way to avoid resin pooling is either to see the Quartz slab before fabrication, which is not commonly done (unlike natural stone counters where that is commonly done), or notice it as the fabricators are bringing the counters into your home and refuse their installation. Most slabs do not have it, but many do....See Morejhmarie
