Staining a deck and running out of time
Comments (1)What about paint remover. I once saw an article recommending specific brands and some were commercial products that were supposed to be more effective and came in large (can't recall if it was 1 gallon or 5 gallon) cans. Once they are done soaking, a blade like the edge of a putty knife could be used to remove the visible stuff. Since you are only worried about looks, you wouldn't need to go too deep. Then a little steel wool and you would be done. A little water rinse and some paint thinner on a rag should make it pretty decent. I don't know if it will take stain if the pores are plugged tho. Might need to get a little can and work in a corner somewhere where you can try it out without spoiling the whole deck project....See MorePlease help! Comments (44)These are a couple chairs I really like. This is my favorite, but is this one too "grand" for an everyday eating area with my kids? It's a bit pricer too, but I like it a lot. My preference is the grey chair on the right. Thoughts? I really like this chair as well and it's very well priced, but I'm not sure if it's plush enough or the look I'd like. Our previous chairs were actually living room accent chairs and we really got into lounging and talking at the table long after dinner. Again, this grey is my color preference (far left), but they are only available in a charcoal grey (looks black in photo on the right, but one review says charcoal, not black). They may make my life easier with kids, but not my golden retriever! I question if the dark grey may be too harsh for our space though....See MoreIs time running out?
Comments (43)I will wait the color change too and then I will make powder. I do not know what is the best for Rocoto, once I did pickle but not so good. Most of the peppers I dried and vacuum packed for storage. Still I have some fresh Fatali, wild chili and Snow White. Many of the Fatali color changed indoor but they are not so hot. Ripe one I cannot eat one whole pod but the indoor color changed I can eat about 4/5. This is my first time overwintered a lot because the overwintered plants produced a lot of pods this season, I did not see the differences. C. Chinense has no problems to keep about 5 years, one of my Ghosts is 5 years old it produced a lot of pods this season. On the other hand I do not like to abandon healthy plants. It could be a kind of experiment, next season I'd know the result. I may start from seeds for C. Annuum, such as Lemon Drop, Jalapeno and Joe's Long Cayenne....See MoreConfused and Running out of time
Comments (9)If you plan to replace the floor in the kitchen, I hope you can find something that looks like a barnwood floor? I am not crazy about the woodlook tile, just walking on it makes me think me legs will hurt? LOL, and I really like the barnwood color of flooring in the laminate pieces and the woodlook tiles... There again, it is about your budget, but I think the gray ish tones of floor would make your counter and kitchen look very very nice. If not that, than you might look at some flooring which is a blend of black and white tiles, would give you a retro theme, but black and white plays very nice with your gray counters also, but not all black...tooo dark. A 50/50 split is very cheerful and there is likely some tile or wood look flooring that would be very pretty. **Another family hue that might be pretty would be a soft blue color with your gray counters. You can bring your beach sea salt color walls to the kitchen too and that is a very nice combo with your gray counters and white cabinets.https://www.houzz.com/products/armstrong-architectural-remnants-salt-air-12-mm-laminate-flooring-sample-prvw-vr~42559386?m_refid=PLA_HZ_42559386_186111947 https://www.flooranddecor.com/porcelain-tile/meridian-slate-gray-porcelain-tile-100190156.html?pp=0 Just doing a search for "sea salt color laminate and tile flooring" brings up many options, online, but you can go to a place like Floor and Decor or Nebraska Furniture Mart or many other places maybe in your area and see the real thing too. You have a variety of choices to make in your home, I just focused on the kitchen flooring for now, because I really like your kitchen counters/cabinets, just not with that flooring. :D...See Moreken_adrian Adrian MI cold Z5
