Comments (2)The halloween one that I know of is called "You've been boo'ed". I found this christmas one on the net which is the same idea. Hope it's what you are looking for. You have been Elfed! SantaÂs little helper has come to town, To leave these goodies you have found. If you wish to have the best season of all You must help this "Elf" with his call. First, post this Elf where it can be seen And leave it there till Christmas Eve. Then other visiting Elves will pass on their way. Be sure to participate, it will bring joy to your day.. Second, make two treats, Two Elves, and Two notes like this. Just one day, is all youÂve got So go ahead and give it a shot. Leave the treats where they Elf has not gone By the light of the moon, deliver to their home. Hide behind a bush, a car even a tree The surprise & joy on their face you are sure to see. Now you've been blessed with yuletide cheer. YouÂll feel it throughout the New Year. Alas another Christmas Tradition is sure to have begun. Thanks for sharing in this Christmas fun. And last but not least, enjoy the season. For all of the right reasons. Happy Holidays!...See Moremystery challenge
Comments (10)I have done 2 mystery quilts and both was organized by my guild. The first one - ended up having a 'mistake' on one of the clues, and then everyone had to either deal with the mistake or do that part over. The mistake was found several clues later, thus a pain to rip out, so most members just worked around it. I was not happy with the result of my quilt... I never finished it. The second one the gal in charged checked out the mystery very carefully before ordering it... and it was a simpler pattern but the size was for a double bed. The pattern was nice, but I did not want the double size, so before I sewed the final top together, I laid it out and found a way to make it smaller. This pattern was well written and fun to do. I did like it, just not the size. I feel that the suggestion to use the link for quiltville was good, as Bonnie is very reliable and her mystery quilts are really nice. One should try a mystery once, just so you know what it is all about. BARBARA...See MoreAugust: What are you reading?
Comments (101)Yoyobon, I've been away from the forum for a while so I'm just reading this now. What a frightening experience! I'm glad you came through it okay. And while I hope the bear has sensibly relocated himself and spared us all some anguish, I do understand the need to euthanize a bear who enters houses. It is a recipe for disaster. Annpan, I'm glad you are feeling better recently. While I have done some quick, junk reading while traveling (we went hiking along the coast of Maine), I haven't read anything that excited me since the Darcie Wilde Regency era mysteries I mentioned last. I tried The Lost Apothecary but simply could not get into it. Next I read Lessons in Chemistry. Unlike the previous novel, it did hold my interest long enough to finish it. The story is based on the difficulties a woman scientist faced in the mid-Century era and has a bit of humor to liven it. However it is already slipping from my memory. The Dictionary of Lost Words, a historical novel based on the writing of the Oxford English Dictionary was actually quite decent. I did enjoy it. I just haven't read anything I loved!...See More- 9 years agolast modified: 9 years ago
