Comments (15)sabbath7...my boys a cuddle bug...now...but 3 years ago he was a mess when we got him. He's well loved. We're VERY attached to the big guy! He usually sleeps cuddled in the crook of my arm, smashed up against me. At night, he also gives "face hugs", while purring loudly, putting his paws on either side of my face, starring at me. He steals my heart about 20 times a day! Yes, Jackson Galaxy, Cat From Hell. I watch it on Utube! Good info!...See MoreI'll Show You Mine if You Show Me Yours Tues Nov 22
Comments (8)Last week I was given some knitted dishcloths as a thank you for helping a friend out. It got me thinking that I could make some, only crocheted. Many years ago I tried using a crocheted dish cloth, but hated it as the knife points would go right through and poke me. So I noodled around and saw a video and whipped this up. It's not bad for my first one, and will get better (and straighter edges!)....See MoreI'll Show You Mine if You Show Me Yours Tues Nov 29
Comments (10)Great photos today! This is one of my favorite features of the KT; really enjoy seeing what all of you have to share and sharing my photos with you. Nicole, your turtle looks like he's laying on the neck of a dragon or a serpent. The end is the mouth and the knot is the eye. Or, maybe I'm just weird!...See MoreI'll Show You Mine If You Show Me Yours - Tue Nov 21
Comments (17)I remember what happened to us when we had our starter house built. To save money, we did all the interior painting and finishing of the flooring. One day, after a full day of work, we arrived at the house and began painting the wall of the living room. It was nearing time to stop and with one wall left to paint. We were tired and loopy, but elated about our first home. I had a little paint left and we decided to let go and do something we'd never do - draw a picture on the wall. It would be painted over with the same color paint, so what's the harm? I drew a pastoral scene with rolling hills and trees. We laughed, remarked that it might be nice to have a mural on that wall someday, and left for a late dinner. The next evening, it was time to finish the paint job in that room. I painted the wall covering yesterday's drawing, so I thought. As I stood back - Horrors! - yesterday's drawing shone through. The paint was double thick over the brush stokes for the drawing and single thickness over the remainder of the wall. The dang drawing stood out when viewed from the side. Three coasts of paint later, it faded enough to pass but I could still see a faint outline of the drawing when viewed at a particular angle. Was I glad I had not put a profanity there....See More- 9 years ago
