Mystery Pest

Hello all,

My friend has asked me to help her with her hypoestes phyllostachya plants. They've been doing well, blooming prolifically and sending up lots of basal growth. They've been under attack by aphids for a while, which she's been controlling with a mixture of alcohol, water, and dish soap.

However, she recently found a new mystery bug on her plants. I suggested whitefly-It's small, about the size of a small adult aphid, white, and has visible legs. One thing throws me off though-she says she doesn't see any obvious wings on the pests. She tried poking them with a pencil, but they didn't fly up. She says that she can scrape them off easily.

Any ideas on what this could be?

Thanks!
