Can a plant get enough light from a stained glass window?

The window in my living room is topped with stained glass which is inset creating a little shelf. I would really like to get a trailing plant to place there so the leaves could cascade down below. But I'm concerned that the stained glass wouldn't allow enough light through to keep the plant healthy.

The window is east facing, but there is a house across the one way street which blocks the morning light. Afternoon light get reflected off that house though. Here's the window in question (this picture was from the realtor, so it's deceivingly bright compared to picture I could take):

I would really love to put a Scindapsus pictus there but I would settle for a heart leaf philodendron. That's assuming this location is conducive to any plant at all. What do you think?
