Tomato Bacon Jam

I met a friend for breakfast today, and my vegetable hash came with a little dish of what they called tomato-bacon jam.

I liked it a lot, so I came home and started looking for recipes, but all the ones I found were nothing like this. The recipes were actual jam, cooked down with lots of sugar, while this was more like a pureed salsa with tomato, onion, cilantro, bacon, etc. There were no discernible bacon bits, although there were some small chunks of tomato, and it was not sweet in the least.

Does anyone have a recipe for something like that? I can make a rough guess at the ingredients, but I'm not sure how they made the bacon disappear completely while keeping the flavor. I presume it was all mixed up and sent through the vitamix with some of the tomatoes, then the rest of the tomatoes added with just a light processing, but how the bacon was treated puzzles me.
