Getting a Colonoscopy
Comments (18)Sable - it's so good of you to post this. I will add that anyone who has had a history of colon cancer in their immediate family, such as parents, should get a colonoscopy sooner. DH's father, mother, aunt and grandmother all had colon cancer. Fortunately he has a cousin who is a gastroenterologist and she wrote a long letter to all her cousins telling them they should all go in immediately for a colonoscopy and I think they all did. DH had his first colonoscopy around age 40 and several adenomatous (pre-cancerous) polyps were found. So he now has one every three years. I had mine at age 50 and no polyps found so I only have to go every ten years. Family history isn't everything though. The wife of one of my coworkers was recently diagnosed with colon cancer in her mid-40's and she had no known family history. The procedure and even the prep is really no big deal. Everyone should go do it as recommended - without delay!!...See MoreWho's excited for SURVIVOR tonight??
Comments (24)I definitely would have preferred Spencer to win but I am glad Kass didn't. I loved Woo's speech and think highly of him for living his life the way he does, I think he didn't want to risk Kass winning, and was willing to go against Tony and accept the results between the two of them. He was raised and lives in a very different culture, they honor their commitments, and live by different rules. I think Woo is a great guy, that was very evident in the episode with the children, and he knew his students were watching him on the show, I think that weighed heavily on how he played the game. He had me after his speech and I truly believe if Spencer had not gotten up and praised Tony so much that Woo would have had more votes. There were tears in several people's eyes after he spoke. Woo was not the dummy many thought him to be, he is well educated and can speak well when he needs to....See MoreSuvivor Fans......
Comments (29)I'm no expert, but it makes sense that poop from a dozen people, in a sea full of poop from all the sea life, wouldn't be a big problem, the way waste from millions is. It may be that they encourage it because the sea can handle it, whereas foreigners introducing new bacteria, etc., to the land could be a problem. I'm still grossed out. I wondered why the tribe weren't, so thanks, Sushipup for telling us that they're encouraged to use the water rather than digging a hole. But eeewwww. Yes, the right person went home. I've never snorkled or scuba-dived, but I know you're supposed to hang onto the mask! Even from watching Survivor where in past seasons people have lost their masks because they weren't sealed well or other accident. The brawn people aren't dummies, and they had a good chance to win if the lifeguard hadn't overestimated his skills. Re the blond on Brawn, she said she had done all kinds of physical adventure travel. They obviously were going for diversity within the definitions. I think Tai is beautiful, but he's no Ken doll. :) And being a gardener, his job is beauty. :) I like him, but I think he's a bit too in the moment. I loved that he fessed up about searching for idols. But I was perplexed about him pulling up saplings, like they were less worthy than fully rooted trees....See MoreSuvivor Fans......
Comments (18)I like Ken too he is so level headed and makes thought out decisions. I was so mad at that girl last week for not believing him and running and telling the very people that were voting her out. She needs to smarten up. I am so done with the love birds! I was really looking forward to them being split up. I am just waiting for the big lovers quarrel. I seriously thought Mr paranoia was going to give away another Idol. I find it hard to believe he has found 2. I was enjoying the OU Sooners talk between the two Oklahoma guys Go OU! David aand that ball in the water was freaking hilarious then he knocked over the other side geeze. Some one said is he throwing this competition! No unfortunately he is just that bad. Swimming well should be a requirement for the contestants it is just too dangerous not to be....See More- 9 years ago
