'Perfectly' decorated Home verses a Perfect Home for your Family?
Comments (66)I've enjoyed this thread so much. (Well, except for all those 'annoying' football comments. I mean really, let's get the over hyped Super Bowl out of the way so we can get on to the real sport...BASEBALL! Go Rangers! lol Auntjen, we are neighbors as I, too, live in the same county as Jerry World.) ahem...back to decorating. I'm a new real estate agent and one of my fascinations is seeing the inside of people's homes. I held an open house this weekend at a charming home. Talk about beautifully decorated! I so wish I could have taken photos just to show you guys the decor. (The RE photos don't show the decor like I'd like to show y'all.) After two hours of 'living' in the home, I was ready to go back to my more rumpled and comfortable home. lol I know the owners have 'staged' the home to be very, very nice looking and they are getting the right kinds of comments. I just know that for me and mine...we go for that 'creative' look. lol My goal, an ongoing, ever-ellusive goal, is to create a warm, inviting, and comfortable place to live that still delights my eye and artistic sense. That's possible, not perfect...and when it comes together, it is PERFECT. ;0)...See MoreHidden home decor for Thursday
Comments (13)The sliding cabinet door is too obvious so I would think that would not be it. It does look as if both units move. There is space at the bottom of them. They also look quite heavy! The one on the right looks as if it could be a murphy bed but also looks like it would open into a passage way. Maybe the sliding cabinet door opens a bar and then the side unit is a door to the wine cellar/liquor closet. That recessed corner space is housing something....See MoreThursday's hidden home decor
Comments (25)That's just weird! Besides, it gives the house kind of a warehouse look anyway. Yes, and then wreck the lawn driving over it so you don't have to look at a garage and driveway. I guess you could anchor some furniture down so it's usable. Just no knick knacks on the table. You'd have to have some sort of surveillance to make sure no one was on the porch before getting the car out!...See MoreMonday's hidden home decor
Comments (26)I showed this to the missus and she has a theory. It is a 'safe room'. You cannot see the short wall that goes back to the windows, but it would be there. Camera and motion detector? They are there so that when in the safe room you can see everything that is going on outside that room. If you look closely, there is a light reflection on the floor when the door is open. Look closer and you can see the light (probably florescent) within the room. That door shows that it is not that thick, but it would provide a bit so safe refuge should it be necessary. It sorta makes sense to me....See Moreravencajun Zone 8b TX
