Most of these turned into NOIDs and found out the Culebra was never that, seems it was a CUBA... got it in trade and when it leafed out, I knew. I do still have quite a few NOIDs which may be some of the above if anyone is interested in a trade for them. I'm interested in pretty blooms and darker colors. Linda

Dianne - Mark didn't answer your question, but the answer is "yes". The DeLand Farmers Market on Wednesdays is at the Fairground. I have been away on vacation to Virginia. We checked out Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, and the Yorktown battlefield sites. The area has lots of planted fields of tobacco, wheat, and corn. It was a very nice area to visit. After growing bush lima beans last year, and getting no harvest, I am proud to say that the Black Jungle Butterbean seeds that Silvia sent me produced nicely. Thanks so much Silvia. I didn't take a picture of my harvest because they look just like Luthur's photo. Luthur - What is the difference between the Alabama butterbean and the Black Jungle? In you picture, they look the same. I see that you have replanted. Do you think that I could get another crop if I planted another row soon? Last year my fall plantings of Black Jungle beans bloomed but wouldn't set to make pods. Silvia - As I mentioned before, my Seminole pumpkins turned out to look like the seeds got crossed with a butternut squash. No complaints about production. These are from only 2 plants: Silvia - I have so many figs ripening now too. Your fig preserves look delicious. Do you use packaged pectin in your recipes? Hola Felix Gracias. I am planning to make the sweets that you sent me the recipe with the Chinese pumpkins. They are very productive, not as much as the red noodle yard long beans or the edible gourd. Everybody I know got some share of the crop! Even the girls at the nail salon, they are Vietnamese and they said they never seen it. So I told them how to cook it. Now, I have to find people for the edible gourd and Japanese cucumbers! And about next week, I will have the green yard long beans coming up. The good thing is that people like them. I also ate my first Brogdon avocado yesterday. Delicious! Willy is in Hawaii for business, he felt sorry he didn't have a guacamole. How is your garden doing? I have not seen your pictures lately. Keep us posted. Silvia

The phrase "river tubing" brought back a combined happy/painful college-days memory: The trip down an Ohio stream was twice as long as our "coordinator" calculated, and the sunburn was horrendous! So be sure to make your GS slather sunscreen on! (And does he know how jealous we are!!)
