Last summer Alisande posted a thread wanting everyone to post their porch plants. After I posted my sad excuses for balcony plants, she said that we're all welcome to share again this summer, except perhaps me. LOL

I took this photo on 10/21. Since then the winds have blown - gustily (is that a word?). Less than 1/3 of the leaves are left on the Autumn Blaze Maple. I am raking and piling them to shred them to put in the flower beds and vegetable garden.

Casey, I think that is no crow!! That is a magnificent RAVEN!! crows mostly have yellow straight bills ravens have black bills and a curve downward, some crows do have black bills however. Then there are black grackles I think they are which are neither crows or ravens but make a lot of noise lol. Beautiful picture, what ever it may be,may need to snatch that if you don't mind. But their voices and calls are very different. the sounds of Raven and Crow Fall is most definitely late according to that glorious tree! wow what a gorgeous show off it is! edit I think I am wrong! I thought most crows have yellow beaks but looking it up just now they don't. So I was wrong that is likely a crow darn it i wanted it to be a raven lol.
