Hanging hot water radiator in crawl space - yay or nay

Hi all, so I have a crawl space in back of house, cement walls and is about 2' above and 2' below grade. Previous owner/remodeler ran new pex lines up the outer wall to a 2nd floor bath which freeze. The only access to insulate the vertical run is by ripping open a soffit through the 1st floor (not desired). There is an existing feed/return line to a hot water rad near the back door, and another hot water line that is capped in the crawl space. I was thinking of hanging a 3.5" thick rad in the crawl space to enhance warm air to the pex line area. Total dimensions of radiator are - 3.5" x 25" x 18". I didn't think it would be too much of a heat/cost waste since the radiator lines were already running in the crawl space. Thoughts?
