Comments (11)We have a Scooba. This is what you can expect in the future. We've had one of these for a few years and, in general, we like it. We only use it for our kitchen. At the beginning of 2008 the battery went bad and I contacted iRobot about it because the new ones are $70.00 and I felt it was too expensive considering the length of time we had the unit. Well, the one they sent me (free except for me shipping the old one back - which I appreciated) just died. I called them again to see if they would give me a reduced price on a new one. Nope. Replace it since it only lasted two years? Nope. Trash can! We will be cleaning our floor by hand from now on. $35.00 a year for maintenance is too high, especially when you consider the exorbitant cost of the cleaning fluid, and the initial cost of the robot. Over the long haul these are a ripoff. I guess I've learned my lesson. Now I have to find someone that will buy all our cleaner......See MoreHave You Gotten Much Accomplished Today?
Comments (19)No school today for MLK day. Tried to run to the store for an onion- that's all. Wanted to put a pot roast in the oven. But my minivan's battery was dead, not a bit of power. Jump started it and went to WalMart for a new one. That done, I *thought* it was 1:30 and was happy with my time. Forgot the clock had stopped with the battery. ;o) It was 3:30, which meant DD was late for gymnastics. Err!! Rushed off to that. I managed to get some laundry done, dishes, graded a bunch of papers (but I'm only about half done 104 studeents), wrote a to do list for tomorrow, changed the sheets on one bed... never did get to that pot roast, we had to have hot dogs for dinner. ;o( Kids are in bed and now I'm gonna finish grading and get some things ready for tomorrow and the rest of the week. Looking at that, I guess I did get a lot done, just not as much as I wanted. Feels like I barely made a dent in what I need to get done....See MoreI Finally Did It!
Comments (6)I slept in late, until 10 am, and now my DD and the grands are over. The two girls have gone to swim across the street, and DGS Preston has just helped us make 2 huge pans of enchiladas. He is only 4, but was a real helper, and completely understands the dangers and the joy of cooking. What a sweetie. I have one dog that he just adores, and is sure that I got this dog just for him. To watch them together is like Timmy and Lassie. So maybe I did get this dog just for him, I will never know for sure. Cute to watch them bond. Always a good day when the grands are here. Love making memories. Trin...See MoreHow long does the robot vacuum last?
Comments (16)I have the Roomba 980 which I believe is the newest one. I have 2 dogs that shed like crazy wchich is one reason I love the vacuum. It's keeps the hair from getting out of control. The rollers on my machine do get full of hair but are fairly easy to clean. I think the battery lasts about 60 min and then it has to charge. if I run it everyday than it can do my first floor in one charge if not it has to go back and charge again....See MorePawprint
