Today I am in mourning and feel very sad because
Comments (10)Vicki I am so sorry for your loss of your fish. I posted a month or so ago about all of my beautiful Koi I had for 13 years that I lost to something in the dead of winter. I was so very sad, so I know how terrible you feel. I wanted to fill my pond in, but everyone was so kind and told me get some new fish. I did..they will never replace the fish I had, but I do enjoy watching the new ones. So morn your fish and when you are ready..really go and get a couple of new ones, they will bring back joy to you. So very very sorry you are going through this....See MoreFeel like I am dying - so sad
Comments (8)I'm so sorry, both for your tragic & heartbreaking loss & for your despair. You're laboring under a crushing amount of grief, pain, depression, &, although it's unearned, guilt. You're absolutely entitled to your despair, anybody would be in despair... but don't let it kill you. You are not only the mother of 4 living children, you're the link between them & their brother, & you're the only one alive who has the memories that you have; without you, those most intimate memories of your son would be gone forever. Please call your doctor & insist on some good anti-depressants (get your husband to help if you can't summon the strength to insist); depression is a physical problem, &, while talking therapy can give you insight, *it won't make you feel better*. The synapses in our brains don't fire right when we're depressed, & that makes us feel worse, & that makes the synapses get more off-kilter... It's like a car engine that's "missing"; you can tinker with all kinds of things in that engine, but you have to get it to fire correctly to fix the "miss". It takes a while for anti-depressents to work, so meanwhile, & I know it's hard because you don't feel like doing it, get some oxygen to your brain. Enlist your husband's help if you can't force yourself to do it on your own, sign up for a jazzercise class, do whatever it takes, but move move move. Get your heart rate up & you'll get good oxygenated blood to your brain, which will make your synapses fire more efficiently & you'll function better. Please take care of yourself, & enlist the help of anybody you can, husband, friends, family, people from church, anybody & everybody, to help you do it. & please post here again. We all want you to be your own self again, & we wanna know about it....See Morefeeling sad
Comments (23)cucumber_2007 Not to be too "testy", but you DID ask for "advice", and I think folks on this thread (including myself) have tried to provide some. I love my pets as well, but you need to ask yourself, do you have the finances to provide the kind of care that 3 old dogs and 2 aging cats will need? I don't have any good suggestions, but maybe you should look into finding a good home for the younger dog so you have the resources available to take care of the older ones. And are the kids taking full advantage of college scholorships and loans? Are they going to state schools so the tuition is lower? Yeah, it would be nice if every kid could go to the college of their choice, but it does not sound like you make enough to make that happen. I'm sorry if this sounds "testy", but it still sounds like you have your head in the sand about your situation. You want want things to get better, but you aren't willing to make hard choices in order to actually make things better. Just my .02!...See MoreI'm torn - this is not easy and I feel so sad
Comments (23)Thank you everyone - AGAIN. What an emotional roller coaster. I let my emotions run rampant (life long challenge). I've thought about things and feel I was being a little harsh. Some days my life skills take a nose dive. I'm not a working Mom raising teenagers so I don't truly appreciate my sisters homelife. She's doing the best she can and making adjustments. I called my Mom today and told her I would like to visit with her tomorrow afternoon, bring her mail, fill out change of address forms on her pensions and such and I will call to set up her home lab work with her tomorrow. I have decided when I visit my Mom I will check in advance to see what things I can do to help. My Mom is also 'working' on my sister to get a maid in since my Mom can get home help. Apparently no one could find my sister last night - she had a full laundry basket and was asleep on her son's bed - out cold. Thank you for taking the time to post your comments - they are a great help to me making this transition. I love my Mom and would like to do what I can. I just got so fed up being a door mat I felt like locking the door and changing my phone to escape. I've started sleeping again, with the doctor's help, which is helping things go back into perspective. I'm going to be rereading this post for the next couple of days and thinking about adjusting to the new routine. I'm still purgine this house and working towards painting...and I am seriously thinking of working for my temp agency again on short term contracts before I lose my mind. I don't know how not to be busy. It's just not me. (((((((((((((((((((to all my KTer friends))))))))))))))))))) You mean so much to me. LOL Peggy...See Moregrapefruit1_ar
