High velocity A/C quote, please help.
Comments (2)I would suggest that you look into mini-split heat pumps. Much higher efficiency and likely quieter. Merv 16 filtration while an excellent filter has a whole lot of pressure drop across the filter. You may need a much higher horsepower fan to deliver the air across that filter. I am not saying it cannot be done. I do not know Unico's specs on the AH, but would suggest you ask how a mere 11 or 12 might impact the size of the fan....See MoreTrane AC Installation Quote

Comments (30)That is a heck of a quote, too good to be true. You should verify the AHRI matching number with quoting dealer. #7018579 Here is the matching AHRI number. 7018579 Active Systems BRYANT HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEMS PREFERRED SERIES PURON AC BRYANT HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEMS 126BNA048****A** FV4CNB006L 1400 46000 13.00 16.00 1 RCU-A-CB 357 Yes You do want the Edge Thermidistat which would be the same for the 2 stage Mdl 127. I really think with the pricing you are getting, you are making a mistake not getting the 127 model. Ask for new lineset that is properly sized. Comments (3)I have three condensers: one services the loft area , the second services the main floor and the third services the second floor I now see that Company X is changing out all three condensers , computed the electrician cost for the change in voltage, and has included the additional zone. Company two does not have the loft unit replacement cost factored in and has the additional zone as an option. Does the cost $28, 850 appear out of line for exchanging the failed 10 seer rheem units? I have the 2nd company coming back to quote me on the replacement for the third loft unit. I am awaiting an email response from Company X regarding model numbers , thermostat, hydro coil..... 30, 000 dollars seems to be an insane number to swap out the old ac. Yes I understand there are three condensers , air handlers and duct changes but....... I prefer to just open a window....See MoreWhats InAName
