athens....IMO....something isn't right some where. With your house still under construction with the doors and windows opened so often, that just doesn't add up especially with that much sf! I have a 14 SEER(one unit) and a much smaller house at 1600sf and mine runs more than that. How much is your kwh? You're in Athens and I'm beside Charlotte, so our winters are basically the same.

There aren't any other components that would make the pump go bad ... although conversely an electrically-bad pump can kill the motor board if not for the protective/added fuse. Another fuse kit should be included with the replacement pump but you already have it installed, no need to swap what's already there in that regard. I could use an extra fuse kit (I have two F&P washers, one has a pump fuse, one doesn't) if you'd consider sending the spare to me.

You may do it in that manner however by simply discharging onto the floor you create a large evaporation area which will no doubt lead to excessive humidity and possibly mold problems. I would prefer to see the drain line extended to the sump pit and terminated at a point at least 2" above the flood level rim of the pit.

Overwatering isn't about giving your plant too much water, but rather having a soil mix that holds on to too much water. Money trees love water, but they also love fast-draining aerated soil. Your plant isn't getting enough water. The botanical name for these plants is Pachira aquatica. They've given it this name for a good reason, they grow near bodies of water. In other words, your plant is dying of thirst. Being in such a dry gritty mix, you're going to have to water it much more often than usual just to keep it hydrated. Mine grows outside for most of the year and I have to water it on an almost daily basis; and I don't even use a gritty mix, and it's in a self-watering pot.
