Pumpkin questions

I harvested my first pie pumpkin today. I have 7 more in various stages. I found a canning recipe that I would like to do but I want to wait until I have more pumpkins ready and I think I am 2-3 weeks before the next ones will be ready. I have 2 that just started turning orange and the rest are further behind than that.

I read about curing pumpkins but I don't know that I need to do that if I'm going to can in them in a few weeks. How long can I store an uncured pumpkin, I assume refridgerated?
