Comments (13)Did you check in the keyboard settings in control panel as was mentioned earlier? If not that is definitely one place to be looking. I might look in device manager for any obvious problems and also in even viewer for red alerts. I still definitely think it is that the keyboard shortcuts are turned on and set up. Try this hold the NUM LOCK key down for several seconds that should toggle the keys on and off. On a laptop often the numlock pad is the problem so try turning it off and on etc to see if you get any results. Some laptops have the action and function keys set up with special actions also. You can check your specific model of laptop online or in the user manual to see if that is what is happening. check these for possible options to try Disabling the Windows Key on Microsoft Natural Keyboard Disabling Windows Keyboard Shortcuts this page has a ton of info for your laptop not sure if it covers this but you may want it as a resource Dell Inspiron 6000...See MoreJavaScript error
Comments (11)I do have a Windows 7 laptop, but I still prefer using my desktop which is XP. I'm much more comfortable sitting in my nice desk chair and using a regular keyboard. I'd love a desktop with Windows 7, but I don't have room for another computer or even storage space if I keep this one, too. I have no intention of getting Windows 8 because at my age I'm wanting to take things easy, not get frustrated with a computer. I keep thinking of putting Ubuntu on the old desktop and using that until it gives up the ghost, but that might lead to frustrations, too. I've loved fiddling with computers, but now there are other things I want to spend my time doing. I have a smart phone, a couple of tablets and an e-reader, so I really have more gadgets than I have time. Enjoy photography, too, so we'll just see what develops. Thanks, all....See MoreBosch convection oven error code E011: well, that didn't take long!
Comments (58)It is now 2018 and I am wondering if bosch sent me your broken ovens. Currently, I used mine got the different error codes called my salesman who told me to trip the circuit breaker. It did reset but then I would get additional error codes so they e sent the Bosch technician who looks like he just graduated high school, he looked at it and like you say when they are in the house you cant get an error code. Of course he leaves and what happens I get an error code. Call for service again and he tells me he needs to order all these parts. I tell him he needs to write in his notes that customer is requesting a new oven. He says he will send request to bosch and it is up to supplier to work it out with bosch. So, now I am waiting for a NEW oven, I am still under warranty but they agreed to change it. So I see these complaints from 2016, dont you think Bosch would have done something technical with this issue? Curious to see how long new oven willtake...See MoreRecourse for Major Stone Fabricator Error?? Help!!
Comments (62)As usual, there is a lot of blaming the consumer on this forum by the pros who habitually post….Despite the pros’ superior knowledge vis-à-vis consumers and despite many consumers’ attempted diligence around being thoughtful and careful. What I especially dislike is the sense that you’re not entitled to the beautiful results you see on Houzz forums if you haven’t spent huge sums with architects, designers, colorists, and other high-end consultants. To be sure, these professionals can be worth their weight in gold, but the ‘let them eat cake’ attitude for the rest of the unwashed plebeians is cold and harsh. Where’s the empathy, folks? That being said, and despite Samtrz’s diligent efforts, I do think she made three unforced errors here. First, how many times does a fabricator have to warn that a job won’t be perfect before you internalize that you will not get what you ordered? He didn’t just say that all natural stone is imperfect; he told you that your specific design would not be perfect. Samtrz was on inquiry notice to unpack that statement. Second, the fabricator indicated he had no previous experience with the requested bookended installation (and by the way, its still not clear if the slabs actually were bookended; the parties made opposing statements on that score, though I take the point that had they followed the consumer’s instructions, Samtrz would have been happy). Third, Samtrz wasn’t at home for the install, which frankly I just can’t fathom for something so expensive and important to them. None of this is to say you don’t have any potential legal recourse, Samtrz, and surely the moral blame is on the countertop fabricator/installer. But surely there is some blame here to go all the way around. It ain’t one-sided, folks....See MoreLars/J. Robert Scott
