Hey audrey -- the shower floor is the same as the bathroom floor -- in 2". Mustangs -- I noticed yesterday that Pottery Barn is no longer carrying the oval that is presently installed that you asked about. It was from the Kensington collection, which -- from what I saw -- is just rectangles/squares now. That's probably not much of a help -- sorry. They seem to change their collections often, though, so there is probably still a possibility is will become available. We finally ordered a mirror for over the sink yesterday -- it is also from the Kensington collection, but was not available when we were finishing the remodeling (in chrome). We've just been waiting for something to come along, and now PB is carrying what we were looking for. So, if you're interested, keep your eyes peeled. Good luck. It seems like you could go several different directions to play off the granite: the warm beige world of travertine and the like, a dark or lighter gray direction to pick up on the flecks in the stone, or a deep, warm brown floor - like with wood-look plank tile - and cream colored tile walls. So what do you like, and what kind of feel do you want from the room? Traditional? Crisp and modern? Rustic? If you search google images or houzz with the granite name, you'll get lots of good ideas.

mcmd - thanks for your response. It's beautiful! organic_nettie - no other photos worth posting right now -- we're very much in a state flux! I would have chosen the same look even if we were staying. I'm enjoying the fairly neutral background. I think that I, or the next owners, will enjoy making occasional changes to accent pieces to change the look from time to time. The colors that are in this granite are cream, black, gold and several shades of brown, with lesser amounts of orange/rust and taupe. The "jewels" in it are some iridescent specks of white that remind me of mother-of-pearl, some grey-green shiny spots, and some burgundy garnets. Sounds like a lot of colors, but the overall look is a warm light cream-brown. Gold would certainly work as a wall color. I'm pretty sure that when we move, we'll do something similar to this. (What we have: white raised-panel cabinets; ORB cabinet knobs and matching hinges (to come); black conduction cooktop & appliances; black Silgranit sink; Price Pfister tuscan bronze Marielle faucet & black reverse osmosis faucet; refinished white oak hardwoods (StreetShoe water-based finish, to come). So far, we're liking it. perqqderqq - you're right, in this photo it looks as though the grain points directly at the backsplash, but there is really an overall diagonal flow. I do like the color variation for the backsplash, so I'm not considering any inserts. I'm hoping that we'll be able to work with the tile installer and end up with a pretty good color distribution.

Regarding leaning. I used to have a 24” deep vanity in my bathroom and I could never get close enough to the mirror. The vanity kept me from getting close for applying makeup clearly. I’d have to get inbetween the vanity and toilet so I could get closer to the wall with the mirror. My current 21” deep vanity that replaced the old vanity is better, but the 18” deep vanity, I have in another bathroom, is even better. DH shaves at the 18” vanity.
