Mine isn't awful, but it's not as flattering as the last one - which was cute. We had gone to the nearest office that does 'enhanced drivers licenses' (55 miles away) and the man taking photos kept insisting I pull my hair away from my face. I don't wear my hair pulled away from my face and it wouldn't stay back well enough to please him.

Now my Costco photo....please. I hate showing the card. I could scare the feathers off a chicken in that shot.

If I was aiming to look like the t.v./movie stereotype of a female prison warden, then my License photo is perfect! I was told no smiling allowed, and without a trace of a smile, I have major RB Face. There is only one shot done, and no retakes. So whe it's bad, you just have to live with a really ugly photo until your license renewal time, lol!

Passport photos are just as bad.

For those they use one that makes you look like a terrorist.

DMV photos are awful, but better than I look at my hair stylist's new salon. It has fluorescent ceiling lights! (Wouldn't you think a salon would want to make you look *good*?)

They took my photo, looked at it and said I had too much of a smile and required me to let them take another completely devoid of smile. So now I look like an angry vagrant.

I only see it briefly when travelling. I never look at it otherwise, so I couldn't say if it's a good photo or not.

I've always looked good in mine so far. I don't have rbf either. Lol! I think it depends on where you get it done. The lady in Oklahoma retook mine because she didn't like the first one.

Don't really look at the photo and don't care. Often when I would be getting my license renewed I was on my way home from work or something so it wouldn't be at my best. I don't care what it looks like. Few see it. And if you look like a vagrant in the photo, well, the camera records what's in front of it so... :D

With government photos.....Drivers license, health cards, we cannot smile, nor wear glasses. Even though our health cards are government issued, banks don't take them as proof of identity. Our picture is right on it. That's one of the most idiotic things I've ever heard.

Mine is horrendous! It was taken just about an hour after I found out my sister had passed, and I NEEDED the ID to fly. I look VERY VERY stressed out, because, well....I was. It will be a constant reminder

the license I got in 2005 was disgusting...We were moving that day and the temp was 104...I realized at 345 my license was expiring that day so ran over there and because they made me wait longer than 30 minutes I got it free and got a 10 year license...no makeup, sweating, it was AWFUL and they wouldn't let me take another picture. I was so relieved last year when I could get a new license...I had makeup on, my hair was done and I was ready...I barely had a smile as they don't want a full out smile, (same with passport pics, they sent my first one back and made me redo pictures!) I'm ok with both, at least they resemble me!

Mine is so old, it is embarrassing. I really need to go and take an updated picture. I am due this year.

Reminds me of a birthday card I got once. It pictures a woman of about 80 renewing her license. The lady behind the counter says, "are we still going with blond hair and 125 pounds?" And the 80 year old woman says, "let it ride!" LOL

The last one I got was pretty good. Overall, I just call my DL pictures "ugly pictures.

I usually look like an aged streetwalker who's had a hard life, coming off a three week bender (even when I was 18!). No matter how hard I try :-(

I usually like mine. I dislike the current one -- I'd gotten a ride about 15 days after the last one expired, to go get it renewed.

I'd broken my ankle and wasn't driving anyway. My hair was in severe need of a haircut at the time I broke my ankle (in fact, I had an appointment to do that, that very evening...) and I didn't feel right caging a ride for my hair, when the doctor appointments and so forth were so much more important to get my corpus to.

So, yeah, I don't like my current photo.

Mind you, the Costco photo looked like one of those felon booking photos... No matter how I went into Costco...
