Countertop fabricator in Massachusetts - need advice
Comments (7)I love BFR. Here is a seam they did with my granite. I just love how they matched it to perfection. The seam is in the wave pattern. Amazing to me. Here is another seam, can you see it? I think any company that is almost twice as much as the other estimates is price gouging. Thinking you will pay it. Ripano did this to me and although they have a great reputationn I will never buy from them. In fact they really hurt my feelings when they confused me with a KD because of a name error. I love BFR they were in the mid-price of all my estimates but they are worth every penny. I would hire then again and I plan to one day when I get around to the bathrooms. ~boxerpups...See MoreNeed advice on using foam core for framing prints
Comments (4)The best advice is to have a frame shop mount the posters onto foam core for you. I have had desperately bad luck using adhesive foam core, and I am fully qualified to have done better! It isn't terribly expensive, and will save you much frustration. The posters will stay very nice and flat. I definitely would not varnish them (I assume you mean gloss medium), as that would very likely cause them to warp. I don't know why you aren't putting glass in them, but if it is because of the weight, most lumberyards will cut thinnish plexi for you for a reasonably cheap cost, and it is very lightweight....See MoreNeed advice about fabric dye
Comments (1)Generally, fiber-reactive dyes like Procion give better results. Rit and Dylon are sort of "one size fits all" dyes. Procion creates dye specifically for plant fibers (cellulose fibers, like cotton, rayon, hemp, bamboo, Tencel,) or protein (wool or silk). Any pattern on a garment will still show after it's dyed.. If clothing is stained or faded or in your case patterned, those things will still show....See MoreFabric Advice Needed--Pics
Comments (13)I vote for gold. The room looks "important" to me, and some lovely rich gold chairs would look really amazing. Or how about a gold background with blue diamond print? If you did go with gold, I might rethink the white wall they rest in front of, although I'm not sure what color that might be. Something rich but subtle. Well... I don't know, but there are some on here who could help you with paint color! :o) Beautiful room. I especially like your shelving unit behind the gorgeous blue couch. Great contrast.... looks really nice, and very elegant. I would half expect to see a visiting dignitary taking tea on your sofa. Very nice!!...See Morebeth7happy
