Comments (2)I purchased a 36" Capital Culinarian and a 24" Gaggenau wall oven because I think a good electric oven bakes better than a good gas oven.IMO the differences are there but not huge. People who only own an AG Pro-Range will vigorously argue the opposite. I think if you are baking something that can be centered in the middle of the center rack you are ok. Spread across an entire 36" large oven there are small differences and if you bake on multiple racks there are large difference. 3 racks? Fuhgetabowtit(You understand Newyorker right?) L-Series vs E-Series. L is the more expensive model with triple pane windows vs two on E series. L has hydraulic hinges so the door never slams open. L has rotating control panel that can be hidden away not available in E and is available in three different SS that match offerings of Sub-Zero while E offers only one SS. Subjectively, E-series styling is designed to fit with modern European kitchen cabinets. I think Sub-Zero is a excellent choice as well as the Sharp MW. I own Liebherr All-Fridge,Gaggenau All-Freezer, and a Sharp MW drawer. I would choose between option B or C. How much you will use a griddle vs a 30" is question only you can answer. Comments (9)1) Most people ask if the speed oven is enough or do they need a MW. IMO if you use a MW a lot then you want a separate MW. A speed oven uses conventional heating element plus microwaves to give you the speed of MW but give the food the texture of a conventional oven. Nobody needs a speed oven. Is it worth the price depends on how much time you have to cook. Do you get home at 6 pm and need to get things done ASAP or do you usually have enough time to leisurely make dinner? Or do you simply want the ability to cook quickly like make cookies in a few minutes. 2) I would spend the extra money on Gagg steam oven because I love that it is plumbed too. It depends on how you cook whether it will be the most used appliance. The steam oven can be used in place of a MW and can reheat without drying out leftovers. The Gagg oven can also be used without steam as a convection oven. 3) That question can unleash a flame war. In general most people prefer gas to induction and have to be "educated" about induction. Gagg full surface induction is very good and as time goes by a greater percentage of people will know about induction. I think most people would prefer a gas line at the cooktop area but won't make a meaningful difference to resale value. 4) You have all electric appliances how are they not going to have electronic controls? If you had gas cooktops and gas ovens you could get mechanical controls but with electric there is not point. Comments (1)One of the things I noticed about the SZ pro was that there is a drawer above the ice maker that had holes in the bottom that would allow debris to fall onto the ice. Comments (2)I have the PLD2855RFC - which looks a lot like the one you have picked. I like it okay. I do notice a smell after about 3 days of not using it as the poster above says. But we usually run ours about every three days. I haven't found any problems with fitting my dishes or serving pieces in it yet. I don't use it for pots & pans, because I usually hand wash them. I can easily place a 9x13 baker in it, and my glass cutting board, which is probably the biggest thing that I put in it. I do feel like I can't get as many cups/glasses in the top rack, but it I like how much silverware I can get in it. I also like how it tells me when to replace the "jet dry". I usually use the normal wash, but every once in a while the pots & pan cycle. The only other thing I don't like is that I need to run hot water as the machine starts up in order to get a good hot cycle through it. Which means I usually don't delay start it. I had someone mention that to me in conversation, but then I read it in the directions also. I think that helps with the residue issue some. I wanted the "black" of the control panel to match the rest of my appliances and this one had a few features I wanted, so far .. so good.
