It looked like it was going to be a fun show to watch and I meant to watch it but missed it. Darn it!

Moonie, its regular time will be Thursday, but I'm not sure what time. I won't be home this Thursday. Darn it!

Nuts! I meant to record it, but forgot. I set my DVR this morning to catch it later this week.

I recorded it but not watched it yet. I was going through all the new shows starting soon and setting up a series to record do I don't miss the premier. I especially am excited to see Designated survivor with Keifer.

Turned it off.

I was going to post the same sentiment sheilajoyce. Just can't get into sitcoms on the major networks (like ABC, NBC, CBS), they aren't a bit funny to me and the laugh tracks drive me crazy. But that's just me.

Remember "Dead Like Me"? Now THAT was a good show dealing with the afterlife.

Was there a laugh track, Schoolhouse? I can't stand them, but I didn't notice one on the show. If it was there, I must have tuned it out very effectively.

In a book or whatever, I always have to find a character I care about. In The Good Place, Kristen Bell's character isn't it--at least not yet. But I loved William Jackson Harper, and Ted Danson's character was a sympathetic one too.

By the end of the second episode (they ran two last night), the running joke about her inability to curse in the Good Place was wearing thin. I hope they won't try to drag it out further.

I watched the season premier of Big Bang Theory and laughed out loud 3 times.

Watched an hour of The Good Place and didn't laugh out loud once. Perhaps my imagination is lacking but I really didn't get the show. I'll try again on Thursday and see what happens. I really like Ted Danson and want to really like this show, but unless a comedy makes me laugh out loud it won't make the cut.

Tonight it's NCIS (season premier) then Bull (series premier) the NCIS New Orleans (season premier). I am looking forward to those shows.

It was OK better than many other ones that have been on. I will watch it a few more episodes.

Okay, who saw "This is Us" last night? I liked it a lot, although I had to have the ending explained to me in a review I read this morning. I didn't realize I was looking at two different time frames, although I did think it was weird that people were smoking in a hospital. I won't say anymore in case any of you recorded the pilot and haven't seen it yet.

I liked it and wondered about the end. When I saw someone light up in a hospital, like they did when I was in having babies, I knew this was a flashback. and the couple who lost the one baby took the firehouse one and now I assume it's going to jump between 36 years. I liked the show.

You were sharper than I, Lily. I could tell they showed the smoking on purpose, but I didn't make the connection. And yet I couldn't imagine they'd expect us to believe two babies were left in firehouses!

Susan, I just had a thought. Was the old doctor talking to the young father who lost the one baby really him in the future? Will the young father be a doctor and have five kids and 11 grandkids? Obviously ,the overweight woman, the hunky actor and the black guy are sibs. Good writing, if I won't be too dense to figure it all out. Apparently, the actors didn't know the plot either till the "smoking" scene.

Watched the premiere of Bull last night. I will give it another chance, but so far I'm not impressed.

Lily, I don't think the doctor was the father in the future. That would really complicate things. :-)

The interview I read (with Dan Fogelberg) said the next episode will show the triplets and their parents eight years after their birth, and the plot will continue to go back and forth between time periods.

This will be an interesting show for sure. I like the premise and was told if I was a fan of Parenthood which I was , this was the show for me.

Didn't like Bull either.

One preview that was aired about 1,000 times too many was when Kristen Bell's character tosses a disposable coffee cup towards a trash can but misses. Some guy asks, "Are you going to pick that up?" Kristen's character replies, "Are you going to eat my farts?" I have no idea if that's part of the inability-to-curse thing or not, but that alone was enough for me to conclude, "Nope. Not going to watch that one."

Honestly, Lindsey, if I had seen that preview I probably would have turned off the TV after The Voice. The bit did appear in the pilot. It was in a flashback, to show what a nasty person she had been on earth. Since the premise of the show involves her wanting to become a better person (so it won't be discovered that she was sent to The Good Place by mistake), I hope we won't see anymore gross "jokes" like that.
