Random Thoughts (ok, got the correct forum this time)!
Comments (21)natal, I don't understand hating forwards? Some yes, but there are so many great ones: funny like this one (always good to laugh), and just think of the take-your-breath-away nature photos you'd miss! I have friends I can count on to send beauties and I wait till night so I can view them in the dark. I took a "tour" through Paris and the Louvre via a forward. I'm a sucker for the darling critter pics and videos, too. Oh, and as for videos, some have put tears in my eyes, touching my heart. Of course, along with these are the ones I can count on to require an immediate delete, but the good ones make it all worthwhile...to me. So, natal, how come? I'm just curious, not critical....See MoreOprah's interview with Tom Cruise
Comments (24)I have lost all respect for Oprah, esp. after her talk of there not being just one God... but let's not go there because we'll get in trouble. It's her right to choose what to believe in and my right to turn her off! Tom Cruise, who the heck knows... a little weird maybe? Yrs. ago, I lived in Miami, and while shopping in Miracle Mile in Coral Gables, was approached by a couple of people doing a "personality" questionnaire. They were very pushy. My friend took the test, which, btw, was about 1 1/2 hrs. long! When she finished, they walked us over to a an office they had set up nearby and proceeded to tell her all kinds of s--- regarding what the test showed about her and how, if she joined this group, she would find happiness, etc... Their pitch went on forever and they wouldn't give up. They went as far as grabbing her arm when she tried to leave. I was getting scared because they were so aggressive. They were Scientologists. When they saw they couldn't recruit her, they gave her one of Hubbards books and then pestered her at home for wks.! My friend was, and still is a Christian, so you can imagine how well this all went over. They never told her they were Scientologists until they had us in that room. Things might be different now but they sure went about recruiting in a frightening way. No, thanks. Weird......See MoreSeason 17 DWTS
Comments (17)Then you missed a great season last autumn? I think it was, enjoyspring. The all-star show was really good, every dance, every week. Unless I remember it wrong. For the first show, I really really enjoyed Amber's dance. She can really move! I really like it when they make me think I want to dance! (I can't, not at all). I'm not too fond of Bill Nye or Keyshawn, but the rest are ok or are good. Last night was adequate. I wasn't blown away by anyone's dance. The two best dances I've ever seen are the Psycho dance with Ricki Lake/Derek Hough, but it was ousted from my all time favorite to second favorite, by last autumn's all-stars Shawn Johnson/Derek Hough's who broke all the rules with the trampoline quickstep. But this season? Nothing so far. Amber's first is pretty memorable though....See MoreDo you like The Middle, tv show?
Comments (28)I like The Middle, and it seems that the children are taking on bigger roles in the last couple of seasons. I don't know what it says about me, but I can enjoy an actor without agreeing with his/her political views or lifestyle. I enjoy watching Charlie Sheen, and he is a deeply troubled man, IMO. Moving on to Modern Family, that show has lost its luster for me. It used to be funny and witty and now is just silly. IMO. In contrast, Big Bang Theory is now in its 10th season and is at least as funny as when it started....See MoreUser
