Thatched now prepare for seed

Ok so I followed the deep infrequent watering this year, and used alfalfa pellets three times this year. I killed my weeds with ortho weed b gone and Bayer's to kill my Crabgrass and clover.

I just gave the lawn a good raking and surprise at how much thatch was there could be due to the poor maintenance the previous years and I did not do anything last year.

So I am almost ready for seeding bare spots and overseeding. I read mixed opinions on the next steps but here are my plans.

1) Mix some topsoil and peatmoss for a few areas that are low and spread into the low spots

2) spread peatmoss thin layer over whole lawn

3) seed bare spots and overseed the entire lawn

4) add thin top layer of peat moss

5) water three times a day about 10 minutes per zone

What do you think about rolling? Should I roll after seeding for better contact?

Should I put down a starter fertilizer or stick with adding alfalfa meal?

What are your thoughts on this plan?

I've posted before regarding bare spots and weeds and other things but wanted a new thread at this point for my fall project.
