XP: need help with white kitchen cabinets on white walls
Comments (20)Chiming in late, but wanted to say after reading the posts, gsciencechick, you never have to be embarrassed with us. We're are all here to help each other. Whether you have a big kitchen or small kitchen, old or new, we want to see it be the best it can be within each person's budget constraints. That said, I think your kitchen is very cute and has huge potential! alex's link to that white kitchen with the blue backsplash can give you the inspiration to take your kitchen in a direction without breaking the bank. As you search through the kitchen forum, you will see many people who have done amazing things to their kitchens all by themselves with paint and tile and light fixtures, knobs and pulls etc and are very pleased with the result. You'll get lots of good ideas here. Some you will like, others you won't. No one is offended if you don't take them and do them. Just keep posting and eventually you will have a kitchen you and DH are very proud of....See MoreStain my cabinets light blue? or do White on white on white?
Comments (18)Regrettably, that is not my kitchen. It is one whose colors I tried to replicate, with results so bad (this is how I know how wrong colored stains can turn out) that I had to go another direction completely . The kitchen is by Timeless Kitchen Design. They have a web site and a blog, and even a proprietor -- Kevin Ritter -- who may be able to identify the hardware. For anyone who might yearn to have one of his wonderful kitchens, forum member honeychurch has posted here and on a blog about her experience. The irony is that the photo that so won my heart is actually somewhat distorted from the original, which is slightly warmer in its coloring. Here is a link that might be useful: Timeless Kitchen Design...See MoreHelp with wall color for open kitchen with blue cabinets
Comments (9)I used the color "Grey Screen" by Sherwin Williams for my bedroom. I chose it because it played nice with all kinds of wood tones, from orangey to brown to tan. Pair it with blues, it skews blue. Pair it with tan or certain browns and it stays grey. https://www.sherwin-williams.com/homeowners/color/find-and-explore-colors/paint-colors-by-family/SW7071-gray-screen...See MoreNeed help with white cabinet color and island blue color
Comments (10)I agree with Patricia. I don't get why everyone wants synthetic stone. Probably because everyone else wants it. The natural variation of granite looks much better to me than the synthetic look. And it typically costs less. Many granites require no maintenance. Everyone also wants white kitchens. In a few years all these white kitchens will be dated. I like dark cabinets with everything else white. Much better contrast. Dark cabinets never go out of style. White cabinets do,...See Morevpierce
