I swear Marlene, you find the best junk! And free! Those are really nice. You're gonna need a bigger porch, lol. Oh my gosh I just had a great idea. You are blessed with such a handy dh, you could get him to build you a little chapel out back. (forgive me it's late and I guess I'm getting tired and silly and they just had that Lilies of the Field movie on- where Sydney Portier says to the Mother Superior- "Now look here lady, I ain't buildin' you no chapel" - kinda stuck in my mind. But really did you ever see a little personal contemplation chapel like that. With some stained glass. Just a small peaceful place. And you already have the pews ;) tfs, Donna

Karen, I saw those plates on Ebay last year and really wanted some, but they were too much $$. So when I saw them on the shelf at Good Will, I had them in my cart in a nano-second!!! I couldn't believe that they were all 4 in the box and not broken or chipped or anything, You bet I was doing the Happy Dance!! Then when I found the hat plates, I was even happier because I had tried to find more last year, and couldn't. Oh Yeah, happy dance, happy dance!! Jeanne, glad the siding is done and you found some goodies too!! The carriage lights started out with the pumpkins, then last year I added the hats, and now the bows seem to make them complete. Jane, the center of the plates are the same, but the borders are 4 different ones. How ironic that we both found the same set, but you got the added bonus of the extra plate! Karen, that is one of the drawbacks for me to Ebay as the shipping often makes things too expensive. I was very excited over the price too!! Kath, have fun at the sale. I'll be on the golf course although I pretty well spent my allowance already for this week, LOL DG, that is where I saw them first and was totally turned off by the price. But, $4.24 is definitely in my range. Nana, I will be using the witch hat plates on my Witch's party tablescape. Punk, I always enjoy seeing everyone else's decorations too. Relax and enjoy. Kathleen, You always have such cute things from CTS, so I was pretty happy to find these!! Not quite as good as your CTS prices, but pretty good, LOL Thanks everybody, Candy

napagirl, I live in New England (western Massachusetts to be exact). I will admit that this style piece is unusual around these parts, which is probably why it was priced so cheaply. Someone picked it up cleaning out an estate, didn't even know that it had a french style so had no idea how to optimize it in the description. It is truly a lovely piece, even prettier than the pic shows--perfectly proportioned (the back is fully finished and beautiful in itself!). Valinsv--I agree about the crazy way people list items. I've come to realize that most people just don't know what they have, and the real treasures are usually hidden behind listings such as "sitting chair", "wood trimmed chair", etc. Unfortunately, this means "searching" on Craig's List is often not as fruitful as just opening up any listing that looks remotely like something you could use. My local CL just had a "classic couch" that was in fact a very nice, camelback, down-filled incredible looking piece for FREE! BTW, thanks everyone, for your nice comments. It is so much fun "collecting" things the way I do (and even more fun to be able to share it with others who appreciate it, because most of my friends and family just think I'm nuts!).

Glad to see a few more on here that like autobiographies too. I'd love some suggestions on one's you've read already. I am gathering my summer reading! Good deal on the Goldie Hawn book! Can't find that bargain on Ebay.
