Green tracks from mower on patio stone?

Hi,

I recently hired a gardener to mow the lawn on our brand new backyard. When getting home I was surprised by all the green juice marks on the bluestone patio from the mower. I never owned a backyard or had lawn before, my first reaction was to be upset by the way the stone was left for me. I thought "great now I have to scrub the patio again", I had just done it a week before to remove staining from prunes. I complained with gardener and he said he left like that because that's normal, it will go away with time.

I don't think it looks good and wonder if the longer it stays, harder will be to clean it. Is it really normal for a gardener to leave the job like this? Should he have scrubbed it for me? Not sure whether to have this guy back in a couple weeks or find a new gardener.

Thanks for all the feedback.
