Comments (110)i am having a lot of fun with this game. cindy and carol, on #2, i laughed so hard at your answers. i will say cindy's mind is working towards the real answer. i am wondering if anyone will ever get it. just think of all the actions a dentist does to prep you - well, at least my dentist does it (and dang, is he one good looking man !!!!) amy was the closest on #1 and then shirley answered it correctly. #3 i might take some liberties with, because several of you are close, but i guess it's tough if you don't know her name. i think i've only used it two or three times in previous posts. finally, someone got my shoe size. the right answer to 4 has been guessed and answered correctly twice today, although in different words. so now, 1, 4, 6, 7 and 10 have all been answered correctly. and carol, yes, the razor was a great gift and to this day, i still use the same kind. i'm starting a new post where partners will be assigned. i'll post this over there as well. maryanne...See MoreLet's meet our new friends
Comments (51)I remember Spike, also. Live in a rented farmhouse a couple of miles from the freeway between Detroit/Windsor and Toronto, about half way between. Have had a garden for several years - biggest ever, this year ... over 3/4 of a mile of rows ... and the weeds are succeeding in getting ahead of me. Pleased to be in quite good health at over 80: son 50 nearby and daughter closing in on it, who, having dual ciizenship, has lived in Phoenix a couple of times over the past 15 years or so and now lives mostly with her partner who operates a motorcyle rental franchise on Cozumel, off the Mexican coast. Comments (18)By comparing measurements on the plan, it looks as if you have ap 47" aisle, counter-to-counter, between the range wall and the island. Maybe 34" between island, and fridge door handles, which appear to be elbow height. That's pretty tight, but just workable with a side-by-side or French door fridge, IMO, as long as someone isn't trying to get past while you have the fridge doors open. You can bring the cabinets out to 30", but that does not leave room for the corner susan, unless you give up the cabinet to the right of the sink. And the fridge still sticks out 8.75". Can you move the island a few inches, and/or recess the fridge (as long as it's not on an exterior wall) as fori and weedmeister suggested? Can you get shallower handles? Can the stub wall be cut back to 30"? Here's an option where I've cut back the stub wall and moved the fridge against it, thinking that might keep it from looking as if it sticks out all by itself. Also moved the base cabs out to 30", and uppers out to 15". I moved the island down and toward the sink a few inches, and you still appear to have 48" on that side. I rearranged the prep sink in the island, so that it's not back-to-back with the range. If that's not an exterior wall, you still could gain a couple of inches more by recessing the fridge. Any chance this would work?...See MoreMeet Nala, our new family member.
Comments (46)Congratulations! I love looking at pictures of dogs that have a home, reason to be happy because they depend on us. All hail to both of you "rescuers." Last week I saw a video of a 19 year old dog that found a home -- that dog was as bouncy as a pup. People do go to shelters and ask what dog has been here the longest and kindly give them a chance at life....See Moreladybugfruit
