This one is not one that is supposed to be spotted. I am aware of the genre of this particular photographer and he doesn't do "find the critter" type of work.

I think I see it. No I was wrong. I don't think anyone will be able to find this one. He is invisible.

OK, here's another hint...it's not in the trees. It's in the bottom 1/3 of the picture.

And another hint...it is not right of center, but left of center.

Before I read the hints, I thought it was something peering out of the hole to the left of the tree on the right side ... but I was evidently wrong. So now I think I see something on the left, and if I'm correct (don't trust myself--my vision might be spotty), this thing was recently discussed on the KT.

What I saw originally was in that area just left of center where it appears to be an 'opening' in the underbrush. I thought it was a raccoon. Now, I am not so sure what it is. I still believe that critter is within that area.

I think it's the dark area, in the brown brush. Some kind of a dark gray animal?

There does seem to be a raccoon like animal just to the right of center. I see a distinct patterned area on the lower 1/3 of the photo but can not make out what it is.

There's a huge fish turning into the brush area.

Here's the answer. You are looking at a sniper.

Look closely and you will see the round circle that is the muzzle of the gun that's aimed at you. Click on the pic to enlarge it...it's easier to see that way.

After your hint I thought it was a camera (like Africam). Before that I was convinced it was a deer (red circle), and I do think the thing in the blue circle looks like a crouching kangaroo. Don't know why anyone would want to wear a sniper costume for Halloween.

The blue circle is what I thought was the duck's head. Never dawned on me that it would be a sniper.

I thought it was the head of an animal. That is the spot that my eyes went to first however.

Wow-I wasn't even close. I thought I saw a deer.

I had the area right, just couldn't figure out what is was.
