Why time moves so fast as you get old.
Comments (21)Actually they use cryosurgery, freezing things they want to remove, where it is not necessary to evaluate the lesion under the microscope. If microscopic evaluation is necessary, scalpel is still the old and proven cutting instrument. Laser destroys the margins. When something is removed, there is a fee for removing it, a separate fee for preparing the specimen and a fee for interpreting the results. My dermatologist does all three as he has training in pathology too but can only receive 2 of the 3 fees. If he sent the specimen to a pathologist all 3 fees would be paid, 1 to him, 2 to the pathologist. No big deal but just a quirk in our unique way of medical care compensation. In the end it usually works out very well. One of the 2 individuals I knew who died of MM was a college of mine who told us that he suspected a black lesions, talked of his plans to have it removed and procrastinated a full 6 month before he actually did something about it. By then it was too late. A nasty disease that needs to be taken very seriously. Nick...See MoreWhere can one get moving/storage boxes cheap?
Comments (13)Put an ad on your local CL that you want boxes. Go to a liquor store and ask if you can take some of their boxes. Go to grocery store and ask for apple boxes. Know any friends who are active Mary Kay consultants? We get our stuff shipped to us in a great moving size box. If you don't have an active MK friend, find one on marykay.com... we're all over the place....See MoreFor us woman only - get a kleenex or a box if you cry when laughi
Comments (10)You have got to be kidding. Sorry, I know there must have been all types of physical amd psycho pain going on. But can't stop laughing. Although I was waiting for you to continue the story with having to call 911 and an experience in the emergency room. Thankfully that didn't happen. I'll be sharing this story for a very long time. Can you even walk now? And on a serious side, make sure you use an antibiotic or something to soothe this. Nothing with perfumes, etc. in it. I'd hate to hear something worse evolved....See MoreMoving into a mobile- Can you or can you not?
Comments (5)First, I guess it would depend on which state/county/city. Then you have the "park rules". Check the CCR's Is this a new park, or an established park? If established, does anyone else have hot tub spa? And even if so, doesn't mean YOU can. As parks rules change - sometimes if something has been the preceeding the rule change, it may be able to stay. Would not apply to new owners. I'm thinking, if no-one else has one, they probably aren't allowed. Liability/Insurance would be a big factor here. Realistically - what you can and cannot get away with: (Like I said, maybe it depends on where), but to be blunt, in SoCal...NOTHING! It's either the Management or, most likely the "NEIGHBORS" who complain to the Managemet about what everyone else is doing! My sister's MIL was a mobile home owner, then Manager in a mobile home park. (I knew her well, as I lived with her for several months prior) OH MY GOODNESS - the stories she had to tell! "Best Friend Neighbors" secretely complaining on each other.lol). My MIL lived in one, my SIL lived in one. My Step-Daughter lived in one. Believe me, we've heard enough stories! Even I myself, was so fed up with renting, I had considered a mobile home. Went to look at a few. I remember while going thru one, I glanced out the window and there was this HUGE FACE staring at me! (It was the man next door staring to see what's going on - from inside his own!) That did it for me! NO WAY could I every buy this and feel comfy, and have PRIVACY! I also found that all utilities are paid to the park. (As SIL had to do - contact the Dept of Weights & Measures to have her gas & electric meters calibrated. apparently many in the park were not properly calibrated - causing higher energy charges) Don't "assume" you can get away with anything. The "neighbors" will tell on you! The best thing is to get the park rules, and expect to live by them, or not live there at all. It doesn't take long to be ratted out. Well, at least that's sorta how it is in Southern California!...See MoreUser
