Natural gas range that doesn't require electricity?

First off, I'm not a homesteader or a survivalist. It's just that our local gas guy showed us how to light our range top with a match in case of a power outage--but it didn't work when the power went out for real a few months later. The stupid thing has a lock on it that goes into effect when the power goes out--and no override.

I'm just curious if anyone knows of any ranges where both the top and the oven could work in a power outage. Several of our neighbors have whole house generators, but they are so noisy and so expensive; I think we'd be okay if we could heat up some soup and I could bake some bread.

When I've tried looking this up myself, I've come across a lot of homesteader/off-the-grid type websites with contraptions that would look pretty weird in a modern kitchen. I want something that looks normal and functions like a regular gas range.
